@realdocspeaks Fun fact… in 2023, Medicare Advantage plans required prior authorization 49.8 Million times. Original Medicare required 393,000 prior auths in the same time period.
Just lost a friend today. So sad. I walk into the @FiveGuys near me to get lunch, and l, unfortunately, start crying. Ashante, my server, gives me so much kindness and comfort. So unexpected and grateful to get love in an unexpected place. Ty @fiveguys
@Anabel28810703@reinjenjenni@DefiyantlyFree You can refuse it, yes. But if you’re not working, Medicare Part A and Part B will be your primary insurance—even if you’re not enrolled in it. Meaning, any other coverage you have (with the exception of Federal employee benefits) will NOT work. Plus you’ll face penalties later.
@reinjenjenni@DefiyantlyFree You actually did NOT have to enroll in Part B. If you’d actually worked with a knowledgeable professional, we could’ve told you that. On a federal employee health plan, you are the only people 65+ who can choose not to get Medicare Part B.
@realdocspeaks For those of you who don’t know what prior authorization is… Imagine your doc says you need surgery. But, really, your doc is not in charge. Your doc has to get permission from the insurance company first. If the insurer says no, you pay the WHOLE bill.

@realdocspeaks Unfortunately, Dr. Oz is slated to become head of CMS. But Dr. Oz is a big fan of Medicare Advantage. In fact, he is quite invested in them. You can find him touting “Medicare Advantage for All”.
@jcubanski The $2,000 spending limit is action on the https://t.co/tOZqUFR9FT plan finder... but we are seeing people hitting the spending limit paying way less than $2,000. Any clue what's going on? (No extra help)
At the Healthcare Advocate Summit in Las Vegas. Proud to share with the world why we make signifantly less money than we would if we sold Medicare insurance…We care.
At 65 Incorporated, we do not need a single additional #medicare horror story. We have enough. We HELP.
@mcuban There are SO MANY THINGS that #medicareadvantage plans do that is unethical and shady. Where to begin? And insurance agents who ONLY sell Medicare Advantage plans. Grrrrr.
Did I mention Grrrrrr?
Back me up Nilsa!
