Separately, Nobel laureate Drew Weissman and his family have contributed roughly $250,000 in individual donations— including a $240,000 contribution to the 314 Action Fund in March. Weissman made this contribution, and it was noted as part of a larger, complex transfer of funds, which is linked to possibly funnel directly into Stanford’s campaign and the super PAC’s independent expenditures on her behalf.

Weissman is best known for pioneering the modified mRNA technology that enabled the COVID-19 vaccines developed by Moderna; he and collaborator Katalin Karikó receive ongoing patent royalties and prize money, a lucrative kickback structure that critics say privatizes public-health breakthroughs.

He co-founded Capstan Therapeutics, which was recently acquired by AbbVie for billions amid a federal lawsuit alleging trade-secret theft involving lipid nanoparticle delivery systems. In March 2026—just weeks before the Weissman contribution— Moderna itself settled a massive patent infringement lawsuit over related LNP technology for up to $2.25 billion.

Weissman’s wife, Dr. Mary Ellen Weissman, is a prominent figure in Momentum Unlimited (formerly the Jewish Women’s Renaissance Project), a U.S. 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that turns deductible donations into all-expenses-paid “Birthright-for-Moms” trips to Israel— an eight-day immersive journeys where participants pay little beyond airfare while the group subsidizes luxury lodging, meals, transport, and shopping excursions explicitly marketed as “infusing capital into the Israeli economy.”

Momentum runs alumni “Unity Missions,” emotional-support “global sisterhood” networks, advocacy training on combating online antisemitism, and educational modules framing Zionism as both a historical movement and a modern identity marker. It operates in formal structural partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs to mobilize Jewish women globally—and, crucially, teaches its network how to replicate the model: setting up their own 501(c)(3) entities, pairing them with Israeli amutot for seamless cross-border flows, and leveraging “educational” and “charitable” loopholes.

The Weissmans have also backed parallel dual-structure entities such as the Children’s Museum of Galilee (Israeli amutah with U.S. 501(c)(3) arm), demonstrating the blueprint in action.

None of the this is illegal under current rules. Super PACs can take unlimited money. The result is the same — massive outside spending shaping a congressional race while the public sees only the surface.
