More than 1,100 University of California math and science professors are urging UC regents to reinstate college-entrance exams, saying that unprepared students are lowering academic standards and draining teaching resources https://t.co/b0v7Pnvfeh

Graduation day!! We made it!! 🥳 now we are full specialists!!
Mazel tov. Mashallah. Congratulations. Felicidades!
Today we celebrate the Class of 2026, 40 specialist doctors ready to work across the nation 🇺🇸 and serve our patients with dedication, compassion, and excellence.
Residency teaches you that you can function on very little sleep, survive on snacks you found in your white coat, answer pages at 3 AM, keep showing up when you are exhausted, and still make life-saving decisions when your patients need you most.
But today is more than a graduation.
It is proof of resilience.
Proof of sacrifice.
Proof that every long shift, every night call, every patient encounter, every doubt, and every challenge was worth it.
To my co-residents, friends, mentors, attendings, nurses, staff, families, and everyone who supported us along the way: thank you.
We did not get here alone, we made it together!
Congratulations to the Class of 2026. The next chapter begins now. 🩺✨
Ready to start my next journey at The National Institutes of Health @NIH to specialize in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism!
Cefadroxil at 500 mg TWICE a day has exactly the SAME microbiological coverage as cephalexin and you might actually be able to remember to use it instead of a FOUR time a day drug
Cefadroxil is well under $50 for a full course and may be under $15
First generation cephalosporin. Staph. Strep. Common gram negatives.
Cefadroxil can can SAFELY and reliably be used TWICE a day
Four time a day cephalexin is a DISASTER
Insulin Antigen-2 (IA-2) autoantibodies
*immune proteins that target a pancreatic enzyme (tyrosine phosphatase)
*autoantibodies against intracellular enzyme (IA-2) located in the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas
*50-75% with newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
Teplizumab
*Anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody
*Delays the onset of clinical type 1 diabetes
*In diabetes, the body's immune system mistakenly deploys T cells to attack its own insulin-producing beta cells
*Suppresses specific "autoreactive" T cells that target the pancreas.
600 NCI cancer trial grants were funded last year.
This year, they are practically dead.
Everyone talks about the trial-enrollment crisis
as if it is a patient problem.
Trials really are an infra problem.
Funding cycle this FY is dismantling that infra
Some receipts:
▫️$621.7M frozen this FY
▫️74,000 patients are left stranded
▪️Pancreatic, cervical, breast, lung, pediatric brain tumors. All hit.
Trial without $ is a mirage.
→ families & patients think the option is real
→ oncos think the protocol exists
If you treat cancer patients, run trials, or sit on an IRB, pull the grant IDs & cross-check them yourself.
The registry will not tell the truth on its own.

Two incredible days in Washington, DC for ACP Leadership Day 🇺🇸
Grateful to connect with amazing physician leaders and advocate on Capitol Hill for Medicare/ Medicaid protection, vaccine access, medical student loan reform, physician workforce issues, and continued support for IMGs across the United States.
Honored to spend time alongside Dr. Michael LoCurcio, President of ACP New York, Dr. John Hall, President of ACP Upstate New York, Dr. Todd Simon, Chief Academic Officer at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and many other ACP leaders representing physicians across the country.
Alongside @ACPIMPhysicians New York leadership, we met with multiple Senate and Congressional offices advocating for patients, physicians, and the future of healthcare.
Also grateful to meet Senator
@LisaBRochester and reconnect with Senator @SenSchumer office regarding ongoing healthcare advocacy efforts.
I also had lunch with Lauren, Journalist from the @washingtonpost who previously featured our advocacy efforts supporting IMGs affected by visa and change-of-status issues. We discussed the ongoing situation impacting physicians, including doctors facing visa denials, recent physician detentions, 80+ physicians from India that got their visas rejected, hundreds of IMGs that #Matched and are not getting their residency and the 39 banned countries that are not getting their visas!
Today also brought major news:
Dr. Bibi was released after 32 days in ICE detention. At the same time, we learned that two more physicians were detained. Project IMG was featured again in the The New York Times discussing the growing impact these cases are having on the IMG community nationwide.
@ProjectImg started as a community. Today, it has grown into a voice representing thousands of IMGs across the United States.
Just landed back in New York ✈️
Tomorrow morning back at the hospital, then flying to Miami for @TheIMGevent 2026 🌴
See you all this weekend:
• Friday — Pre-Event Networking
• Saturday — Main Event
• Sunday — Volunteer Outreach
Connect. Learn. Succeed. 💙
Fecal Calprotectin
Abundance in Neutrophils
*Cytosolic protein within neutrophils (granulocytes)
*Comprises 45% to 60% of total cytosolic protein
*immune system signaling recruits neutrophils to the site of inflammation.
