The perpetrators remain at large. The government has completely failed to protect civilians. No mother should ever have to endure such pain.

It is widely suspected that Kuki militants are behind this attack as part of a continuing campaign of terror against Meitei civilians.

“While seeing the deceased bodies of my 6 family members including my
wife and children, they were signs of torture, sexually assaulted and I suspected they were rapped before
they were killed and then thrown into the Barak river. I never imagined that whole my family members could be abducted in front of CRPF and killed after adduction. So, I appeal to the authorities to investigate and give severe punishment to those aggressors” says, Telem Uttam Singh, 38-yrs husband of Telem Thoibi Devi and father of Thajamanbi (8 years)

“While I was at home, my mother called me with disturbing news. She said that Kuki militants had
surrounded her house and urged me to run and hide if possible, to save my life. When I went
outside to check and try to reach them, I saw Kuki militants dragging my mother and sisters and
forcing them into their vehicles. More than 30 Kuki militants surrounded our village.
…After that, the Kuki militants began firing at the houses. The CRPF outpost wasn’t far from
where the incident occurred, yet the CRPF could not saved our mother and sisters from the Kuki
militants while they abducted them. ..

When the dead bodies of my mother and sisters were found,
they were half-naked. My sister's upper part of her head had been torn off, and there were many
bruises and injuries on their bodies. I suspect that the Kuki militants raped them and then killed”
says Sandhya-Daughter and sister of the victims

“I was shocked to learn the news, like the whole sky fell on me instantaneously at that moment. My
mother-in-law Smt. Y.Rani Devi, 60-yrs, my wife Smt Telem Thoibi Devi my sister –in law L.Heitonbi Devi, 25-yrs, L.Chingkheinganba, 3yrs and L.Langamba Singh, 10-months. The whole my family had been staying at Relief Camp Jiribam, at Jakradhor Lamlong Keithel, Jiribam before I
left for my work at Guwahati, Assam since years back. My six family members had been kidnapped
from Relief Camp Jiribam set up by CRPF and Manipur police by Kuki militants on the dreadful
day of 11th Nov 2024”

🚨BREAKING | "bombs were dropped using drones" - NIA Investigation Report

During the @NIA_India investigation it came to light that:

- The Kuki Terrorists started Attack at around 2 pm of September 1 and the same continued till late in the night.
- Bombs were dropped using drones till 6 pm on the said day i.e 1st of September.
- Kuki Terrorists came down to Koutruk village after sunset and torched a number of houses at Koutruk Chingthak Leikai along with many trucks and machinery.
- A 31 year old Meitei lady was killed in the attack while her minor daughter sustained serious injuries.

Special Public Prosecutor of the NIA further said that Kuki Terrorists dropping bombs on civilians from high altitude using drones is a Serious Threat to the Nation.
