Does @EASPORTS even want the sim #NFL rights? If so, why are they pre-emptively competing with @2K and tripling down on arcade play?

@xboxuk Seriously, they took the 10-20 or so hours that make up the 2nd half of oringinal Disc 1, and ballooned it out into 100+ hours of almost nothing but filler and side content.
Remake was great. Rebirth is awful.
@xboxuk Don't. Its awful.
Shitty world design, bare-bones plot, obnoxious mini-game after obnoxious mini-game, Chadley constantly stopping you dead in tracks to tell you things already known, horrible UI and menus, and totally ruining Red XIII as a character when he gets to Cosmo Canyon.
If they show up to ask you if you have a hole in your heart for Jesus, ask them if they have a hole in their butt for a dick. If they are offended, then tell them they're the ones who came to your door shoving their lifestyle in your holes, not the other way around.
@9271yekie@jakecorshia But also, quantum physics shows us that virtual particles are constantly being created and then annihilating each other. So creation from nothing is apparently happening literally all the time, everywhere. Nature abhors a vaccuum.
I like switching civs in @2Kgames@CivGame VII, doubt i will ever use same civ for whole game. There are other good changes. Triumphs are more versatile than legacies.
But my biggest complaint w #CivVII still holds: that age transitions skip over large chunks of in-game history.
@Jpnh777@MineArtsNCrafts@historyinmemes They could also have seen a skull with very small tusks (a juvenile perhaps), and thought they were fangs, thus inspiring the predatory nature of the cyclops in myth. Or maybe they found a female skull? Do the females have large tusks?
@_sn_n The Founding Fathers saying what the government is supposed to do:
"... promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, ..."
So yeah, it kinda is the government's job to feed starving kids.
I like the one where Mulder had a crazy fringe idea and Scully is skeptical about it, despite having already seen multiple similarly fringe ideas of Mulder being proven correct.
Here's an idea - let's pass a law that says if you're going to build a big data center, you have to also build enough solar panels and/or wind turbines to power it. I call it the "Bring your own damn grid" proposal.
Even if you could rent a physical movie, how would you watch it? Nobody has DVD players anymore. Laptops and game consoles dont even have disc drives anymore.
So what would Blockbuster do? Sell vouchers to rent a movie on a streaming service?
If Pizza Hut can return, then we can resurrect Blockbuster.
And we should.
While Netflix made things more “convenient” we lost something irreplaceable:
The ritual of going to a place with your family or friends to choose a story together.
That experience was special.
A Hidden Ocean World, 100 Light-Years Away
Astronomers have discovered a fascinating exoplanet called TOI-1452 b that could be a true “water world”—a planet dominated by vast amounts of liquid water or exotic high-pressure ice beneath its surface. Located in the constellation Draco, just 100 light-years from Earth, this distant world is challenging everything we thought we knew about planets. The planet was first spotted by NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), which caught the telltale rhythmic dips in its host star’s light as the planet passed in front. In 2022, ground-based telescopes followed up, revealing that TOI-1452 b is about 1.6 times the size of Earth and roughly 4 to 5 times more massive. Its surprisingly low density is the real game-changer. Unlike dense, rocky super-Earths, this planet appears to be made of a much lighter mix—likely a huge fraction of water. Scientists estimate it could be covered in a global ocean dozens to hundreds of kilometers deep, or layered with exotic high-pressure ice forms that exist only under crushing gravitational forces. While we can’t see the surface directly yet, the data strongly suggest it’s not another Earth-like rock, but something far more alien. This discovery adds to a growing realization in exoplanet science: many of the “super-Earths” we’ve found aren’t Earth 2.0 at all. Instead, a surprising number seem to be water-rich worlds or mini-Neptunes wrapped in thick atmospheres. Planetary formation, it turns out, is far more creative and diverse than we once imagined. What makes TOI-1452 b so thrilling isn’t certainty—it’s the possibility. It sits in our expanding catalog of strange new worlds that quietly shatter old assumptions and stretch the imagination. Every new detection like this reminds us how wildly varied planets can be across the cosmos, and how much stranger and more wonderful the universe might be than we ever dreamed. Somewhere out there, a deep, mysterious ocean world is orbiting its star, waiting for future telescopes to reveal its secrets.
In 1985, Carl Sagan told Congress that continuing to burn fossil fuels will increase global temperature, cause climate change, melt glaciers and ice sheets, and cause sea level rise. Imagine if we had listened to him them.
No time to wait. #ActOnClimate#climate
Making people wait 4 years for a new season that’ll only have a few episodes is ridiculous. The streaming format has done so much damage to shows. Shows used to push out new seasons EVERY YEAR with 15+ episodes. These companies have billions and could easily resume that format but they just don’t care about their audiences or the quality of their products anymore.
@otokyo Any god worth worshipping wouldn't punish a good person for disbelief.
