Israel's decision to send troops into Lebanon, a sovereign nation, is not a "limited ground operation".
It is an invasion.
Our government's hypocrisy is on full display. Its failure to defend international law and stand up to Israel is a moral disgrace.
Israel has rampaged throughout the Middle East on the assumption that Washington will not impose any restraints on its conduct during a presidential election campaign. Iran appears to have calculated that a US aversion to body bags during the final stretch of the election campaign gives it the freedom to deter Israel. Israel will now act to ensure further escalation, prove Iran's assumption wrong, and in the process give Trump a much-needed electoral boost. For their part, Biden and Harris will eagerly walk into a no-win situation.
Worth noting also that when Al Jazeera journalists showed visible emotion on air โ because their parents, kids, spouses, and/or colleagues had been hurt or killed โ they were accused of being part of Hamas/Hezbollah/the IRGC
@SetantaDArc@obdt_twt@BadAtPhrasing@themostbanned@BankOfAmerica99@mitulkanji Belt and Road countries are loving the benefits they've gotten, "chinese debt trap diplomacy" has been debunked, the person who first made the claim retracted it years ago. Belt and Road loans are objectively better then the alternative, IMF loans that require austerity.
@SetantaDArc@obdt_twt@BadAtPhrasing@themostbanned@BankOfAmerica99@mitulkanji You know it was a fuck load of tibetan communists that fought against the feudal religious monarchy of the Dali Lama right to join China right? Maybe read about the feudal monarchy that existed before and you'll realize China liberated Tibet lmao.
