This Should Be Talked About More:
Florida Republicans are proposing controversial bill SB 266 in our state colleges and universities, which bans any support or funding for student groups involved in "social issues" or engaging in "political or social activism".
This is censorship + exclusion to the likings of which we’ve never seen before.
We are shocked and disturbed to learn that a landlord in Chicago expressing anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian views broke into a Muslim family's apartment and attacked them with a knife, injuring the mother and killing her 6-year-old son, Wadea Al-Fayoume. @cairchicago will hold a press conference this afternoon to share more details, God willing. The Islamophobic rhetoric and anti-Palestinian racism being spread by politicians, media outlets, and social media platforms must stop. Now. #Palestine #Israel #Islamophobia #Wadea

Moments like these remind us of how powerful verbal communication can be.
Sometimes we don't realize how important personal connections really are.
What can you, your department, or your institution do? Here are suggestions for various levels of graduate program operations.
