@emptywheel This Schlicter character accidentally makes a good point. Europeans don't just blame Trump for his demented, adversarial behaviour. They blame the whole US for electing him. When he goes, trust will not magically reappear overnight.
Just had to walk over to the TV when I heard Trump had "made a quick, impressive start". It was Judd Trump, in the snooker. BAU for the other guy I would guess.
@phl43 Bullies fail when confronted by someone who's not afraid of them. I suspect religious fanatics (which is how we're framing Iran's leaders) are not afraid of anyone on earth.
@RobertJenrick@reformparty_uk@GoodwinMJ Nobody likes a sore loser, and no one is buying this election fraud bullshit. Trumpism won't work here. Please keep trying it, and showing the electorate who you really are.
.@ZackPolanski: "Once again Reform are spreading misinformation & smears, and the press & the media seem to repeat them.. its really important that the media.. take responsibility so when Reform or Farage says something they don't just keep repeating it"๐๐๐
@thetripathi58 This entire thread is madness and seems to hinge upon the recruiter holding the budget and having the power to negotiate, whereas in reality they are a facilitator. 0/10.
@ZoeJardiniere Why not apply this principle across the board? Healthcare, security, education - all would benefit from a bottom-up, problem solving approach. However, it doesn't keep certain people in power, so... not popular.
Perhaps @BBCPanorama should issue a formal apology and rerun their piece with an edit of that footage which shows the events of Jan 6 more clearly. Surely this would correct the record and even attract an increased viewership who can then judge Trump's behaviour for themselves.
