Getting out of autopilot should be a priority.
Self reflect, get uncomfortable, get outside of your bubble.
Expose yourself to everything.
Find the true you in the process.
Words are empty because most of us are disconnected from ourselves. Behavior is true communication. Witness what a person does, give less focus to what they say.
Learn how to directly ask for what you want and how to deal with disappointment when you don’t get it. Your life will drastically change for the better.
Maybe it's not that we're depressed, or anxious, or 'crazy.' Maybe it's that we've been conditioned to exist as a persona. What becomes important to us is: meaningful connection, truth, self acceptance, and no longer playing a role for other people.
Abandonment wounds run deep in our nervous system and the subconscious mind. Being left by someone who promised to stick by us leaves an emotional scar. Every time we're close to someone, the subconscious mind goes into a threat state. This is when we sabotage relationships, or leave before we're left. It takes conscious inner work to learn how to trust someone again. And, a self aware partner who can talk everything through with you and help you to feel safe.
It’s really uncomfortable when you’re in a long term friendship and you realize all that’s really keeping the relationship together is stories of the past and you aren’t even that person anymore.
