A 19-year-old in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, died by suicide after an SC/ST Act case was registered against him, with his family saying he had been under severe mental stress.

The family wants authorities to investigate whether the pressure he faced following the case had any connection with his death.

Police have registered a fresh case on the family’s complaint, while the post-mortem report and ongoing investigation are expected to establish the circumstances.

I know government also knew the misuse of this act with data. But they just ignore Truth over gain

महिला व बालविकास विभागातील विविध पदांच्या भरती प्रक्रियेला वेग देण्यात यावा. विशेषतः वर्ग ३ व ४ च्या सरळसेवा भरती प्रक्रियेसंदर्भात परीक्षांचे निकाल तातडीने जाहीर करण्याच्या सूचना महिला व बालविकास मंत्री आदिती तटकरे यांनी दिल्या.

विभागातील विविध पदांसाठी घेण्यात आलेल्या परीक्षा निकाल अंतिम टप्प्यात असून, निकाल जाहीर झाल्यानंतर मोठ्या प्रमाणात पदभरती करण्यात येणार आहे. त्यामुळे विभागातील रिक्त पदे भरून सेवा वितरण अधिक सक्षम आणि गतिमान होणार आहे. भरती प्रक्रिया पारदर्शक, वेळेत आणि कार्यक्षम पद्धतीने पूर्ण करण्यावर भर देत, निकाल जाहीर करण्याची प्रक्रिया गतिमान करण्याचे निर्देश दिले. या निर्णयामुळे महिला व बालविकास विभागाच्या कामकाजाला अधिक बळकटी मिळणार असून नागरिकांना मिळणाऱ्या सेवांमध्येही गुणवत्ता वाढणार असल्याचे मंत्री आदिती तटकरे यांनी सांगितले.
