Refugees in Libya are facing terrible conditions. Libyan authorities are not only neglecting them but also threatening and persecuting them. These people flee war and poverty, yet they find only abuse and violence.
We cannot stay silent!#UNHCR#Refugees
All the Libyan authorities are responsible for the violent campaign that was carried out in the previous days and still taking place in Libya, as they have witnessed to not leave a single migrant. Does the human rights law allow them to do that?
We keep denouncing their crimes have been committing against the migrants and refugees, and we keep calling to stop this inhuman act.
They sit in their conference rooms and boast about how clean they have carried out violence on migrants. 33.000 were forcibly deported last year and this year, violent raids from Misurata to the tips of Zuwara does not spot.
Mohammed Al-Khouja speaking in this video is the head of @DCIM_LIBYA and receives in millions from the Italian and European governments.
This is the deportation mechanism Europe supports in North Africa.
How many should still die in the desert?
How many should be in this situation of life?
How many Europeans have the gut to imagine, only to imagine being put into such a desperate situation?
To have your life measured on how brighter your skin is?
To have a chance only if you submit to the system?
Why are black people treated like this?
Damn it, if this is the humanity we continue to accept‼️
Urgent call‼️
Refugees in Libya are suffering abuses, torture and other unspeakable crimes. Women and children are at even higher risk.@Refugees MUST get involved.
#SaveRefugeesLibya#HumanRights
We have learned with deep alarm and sorrow that one of the most brutal architects of migrant suffering in Libya is now roaming freely on the streets of Rome. The presence of Abdul Ghani al-Kikli (Ghneiwa), head of the so-called Stability Support Apparatus (SSA), in Italy is not only a threat to justice—it is a betrayal of every survivor who passed through the fires of his command.
For years, Refugees in Libya has documented the crimes committed by Ghneiwa and his militias: abductions at sea, torture in Abu Salim and Al-Maya, murders in Nalut, and human trafficking along the Tunisian border. These are not allegations—they are testimonies carved into our bodies, archived in reports, filmed in evidence, and sanctioned by the United Nations. Libyan civilians and migrant survivors alike have named him as a perpetrator of murder, enforced disappearances, and the systematic enslavement of human beings.
Just weeks ago, Italy arrested the trafficker Almasri—only to release and fly him back to Libya under opaque circumstances. And now, another warlord walks under the protection of a visa. Are visas the new currency of impunity? Has Rome become a haven for human traffickers who wear state uniforms?
We demand the immediate arrest of Abdul Ghani al-Kikli, and we call on the Italian government to uphold international law, to honor the pain of survivors, and to stop legitimizing state-to-state trafficking operations fueled by SSA militias.
“If you close your routes which smuggles in workers then no worker will come to you” @Dabaibahamid tells the head of the Zuwara Security Directorate.
The real human traffickers are these men in uniforms, the mafia who calls itself a government.
Europe has a price to pay!
From the recent violent raids and manhunt across Tripoli and Janzour, thousands of migrants and refugees have been arrested.
In this video the Interior Minister Imad Al-Trabelsi asks what to do with the thousands they have unjustly detained.
Refugees in Libya are enduring unimaginable horrors, facing severe targeting and brutal mistreatment, all while the international community observes in unsettling silence. The authorities in Libya must urgently cease the widespread and indiscriminate arrests of these vulnerable individuals who are fleeing the unimaginable. @UNHCRLibya is urgently called upon to take bold and decisive action to protect those refugees who are not only subjected to arbitrary detention but also to grave abuse and inhumane living conditions that violate their most fundamental human rights. The moment for intervention is now; these individuals, who have already suffered so much, deserve our unwavering support and protection.

Can’t stop thinking about Ciham who is turning 27 years old today behind bars. Ciham deserves better. All the women and girls imprisoned without trial in #Eritrea deserve better. We can never stop speaking about them and never allow ourselves to normalise & accept their reality.
Dear eritrean brothers and sisters,

Dear #Ethiopians: specially #Tigray|ans:
This is the international boundary between #Eritrea and #Ethiopia, as ruled by EEBC, and “virtually demarcated” by @UN cartographers in 2002. It’s known by everybody except Tigrayans who have been lied to by #TPLF (for 18 years) to believe it’s subject to further talks and negotiations.
The line was drawn after each side presented its claims and arguments for “final and binding” decision. It was interpreted using three colonial treaties between Ethiopia, Italy and UK and international law, using terms of Algiers Agreement where the parties agreed to apriori, that it would be strictly technical without consideration for local sentiments of what is equitable. What follows are the coordinates for each sector:
“…where an Eritrean’s sympathies lie: if they are talking about all the danger the State of Eritrea is facing, they are likely to be PFDJ supporters. If they are talking about the imprisoned and the disappeared, they are sympathetic to the opposition.”
