The previous day, I visited the flood-affected areas of Hatoon and Hasis in Ishkoman Valley with Abdul Jahan, Member Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly; Niat Bahadur, General Secretary PML-N Ghizer; and our team. We reviewed the damage and assessed the urgent needs of the affected communities.
We stand firmly with every affected family and remain committed to immediate relief, restoration of essential services and timely rehabilitation.
گزشتہ روز ممبر گلگت بلتستان اسمبلی عبدالجہان، جنرل سیکریٹری مسلم لیگ (ن) غذر نیت بہادر اور اپنی ٹیم کے ہمراہ ایشکومن ویلی کے سیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقوں ہاتون اور حاسس کا دورہ کیا۔ سیلاب سے ہونے والے نقصان اور متاثرہ لوگوں کی فوری ضروریات کا جائزہ لیا۔

The unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 cannot erase Kashmir’s disputed status, silence its people or deny them their legitimate right to self-determination. Kashmir cannot be resolved through force, restrictions or changes imposed on paper. A just and lasting peace requires respect for international law, relevant United Nations resolutions and, above all, the will and dignity of the Kashmiri people.

The people of Gilgit-Baltistan stand firmly with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Their struggle for justice has not been forgotten, and their voice cannot be silenced.

A meaningful visit to the Women’s Handicraft School in Thangdas, where I met the trainees and reviewed the facilities available to them. I am deeply grateful to the elders and residents of Thangdas for their warm welcome, kindness, and hospitality.
The school will be upgraded, additional sewing machines will be provided, and efforts will be made to construct a permanent building so that more women can acquire practical skills and move towards dignified and sustainable livelihoods.

تھنگداس خواتین دستکاری سکول کا دورہ کیا، جہاں زیرِ تربیت خواتین سے ملاقات اور دستیاب سہولیات کا جائزہ لیا۔ پرتپاک استقبال، خلوص اور مہمان نوازی پر تھنگداس کے عمائدین اور عوام کی تہہ دل سے شکر گزار ہوں۔
سکول کو اپ گریڈ کیا جائے گا، مزید سلائی مشینیں فراہم کی جائیں گی اور مستقل عمارت کی تعمیر کے لیے بھی بھرپور کوشش کی جائے گی، تاکہ زیادہ سے زیادہ خواتین ہنر سیکھ کر باعزت اور پائیدار روزگار حاصل کر سکیں۔

Alhamdulillah, relief work in Jandoli, Durnak and Maula Abad of District Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan has progressed rapidly. Irrigation and drinking-water connections have been restored, electricity poles repaired, and a connecting bridge constructed.
Permanent houses for families whose homes were completely destroyed are also under process and, InshaAllah, will be completed before winter.
الحمدللہ، جندولی، درناک اور مولا آباد میں امدادی کام تیزی سے مکمل کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ آبپاشی اور پینے کے پانی کی لائنیں بحال، بجلی کے کھمبے درست اور رابطہ پل تعمیر کر دیا گیا ہے۔
جن خاندانوں کے گھر مکمل طور پر تباہ ہوئے، ان کے لیے مستقل گھروں کی تعمیر بھی جاری ہے۔ ان شاء اللہ یہ گھر سردیوں سے پہلے مکمل ہو جائیں گے۔

The recent floods badly damaged irrigation channels and drinking-water connections in Durnak and Jandoli. During our previous visit, local residents requested an urgent solution. Alhamdulillah, the required pipes have now been provided and both issues have been addressed on a priority basis.

حالیہ سیلاب سے درناک اور جندولی میں آبپاشی کی نہریں اور پینے کے پانی کے کنکشن بری طرح متاثر ہوئے تھے۔ گزشتہ دورے کے دوران مقامی لوگوں نے فوری حل کا مطالبہ کیا تھا۔ الحمدللہ، ضروری پائپ فراہم کر دیے گئے ہیں اور دونوں مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کیا گیا ہے۔

Today, I visited the flood-affected areas of Gahkuch Paeen and Silpi Paeen, District Ghizer, along with Abdul Jahan, Member Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, Advocate Niat Bahadur, General Secretary PML-N Ghizer, and the Deputy Commissioner Ghizer.
We met local residents and families affected by the recent floods and reviewed their immediate needs. The channelisation of the flood route in Silpi Paeen, protection of the riverbank, improvement of safe drinking water facilities in Gahkuch, and relief and rehabilitation support are being addressed on a priority basis.
Our efforts will continue to restore essential services and protect the affected communities from further damage.
