{ یُرِیدُونَ أَن یُطۡفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَ هِهِمۡ وَیَأۡبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّاۤ أَن یُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ }
They want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
🇱🇧 This mother welcoming home the coffin of her dead son, a Hezbollah fighter, shows you how entrenched the group is in some parts of Lebanese culture
She then turned to her grandson and told him he must follow the same path.

Every year, when Dhu al-Hijjah arrived, I was reminded of my father—who departed this mortal world in the Sacred Haram of Mecca during the days of Hajj—and of the pilgrim's ihram he left behind as a keepsake for me, his only son.
As soon as Dhu al-Hijjah began, everything seemed to carry my father's presence. News of pilgrims setting out for Hajj, the Leader's annual Hajj message, the Day of Arafah and its supplications, Eid al-Adha and its joy, Mina and the constant anxiety for my father's well-being—each of these was tied to him. For many years, I lived every moment of Dhu al-Hijjah in relation to my father.
This year's Dhu al-Hijjah marked the eleventh anniversary of his passing. To be honest, it completely slipped my mind. Suddenly, I realized that several days had already passed since the fourth of Dhu al-Hijjah—the day of my father's death.
My father passed away while on a journey. It took nearly three weeks for his body to be returned to Iran. Throughout those days, I could not truly believe he was gone. Only when the weight of his coffin rested on my shoulder and his funeral procession took place did I finally accept the reality of his absence.
For me, the story of the Father of the Nation Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei who has been martyred, yet has not been laid to rest, is much the same. Until there is a funeral procession, until there is a grave to visit, I cannot fully believe in his martyrdom. And until then, even tears refuse to flow.
This isn’t an apocalyptic film.
This is Tyre, South Lebanon, today.
A 5,000-year-old city.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Israel is wiping it out.
Turning one of humanity’s oldest cities into ash.
This is the destruction of civilization itself — unfolding in real time.
A rare photograph like this carries a strange weight. It is difficult to look at it without pausing for a while. To see him standing in prayer, turned completely towards Allah SWT, so present in that moment… and then to remember that he is no longer among us in this world feels deeply heavy on the heart. There are some people whose presence felt larger than distance, and whose absence is felt even in silence. Looking at this image brings both gratitude and ache... gratitude that Allah SWT allowed this Ummah to live in his time, and ache because hearts still miss him more than words can explain. May Allah SWT elevate his rank endlessly, and keep us loyal to the path he spent his life serving.
