The Times is right: Britain must speak up forcefully for Imran Khan. The world is increasingly seeing the disturbing, inhumane conditions in which Pakistan’s former prime minister is being held, amid grave concerns for his health and basic rights. Silence is no longer acceptable. Britain should demand humane treatment, proper medical care and respect for the rule of law. This is bigger than politics, it is about human dignity and justice. #ImranKhan @andyburnham@FCDOGovUK@thetimes

🚨🚨 British Kashmiris protesting outside Clarence House in London today as the Pakistan cricket team met King Charles.
Protesters were demonstrating against the presence of Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan’s Interior Minister, who at times also plays as the Foreign Minister as well.
Kashmiris were protesting over his alleged role in the ongoing crackdown on peaceful demonstrations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), where it is believed that hundreds of protesters have been killed by Pakistani paramilitary forces operating under the command of the Interior Ministry.
Naqvi is also widely regarded as a close ally and right-hand man of the Field Marshal, who is seen as Pakistan’s de facto martial law administrator.
British Kashmiris constitute a community of more than one million people in the UK and have recently been protesting against Pakistan’s military establishment over alleged human rights abuses in Pakistan and AJK. A significant number of British MPs have also raised concerns over such abuses in written communications with the UK Government.
For many protesters, and Pakistanis in general, Mr Naqvi has become the public face of the military regime and its actions against civilians.

PTI women have been abducted and are being mistreated in jails, kept under inhumane conditions and subjected to severe mental torture when none were involved in the arson.
They were humiliated while protesting peacefully only to terrorise and scare women from exercising their fundamental right of protest in future and also to depoliticise them.
I am proud of the way all our women have withstood everything with such dignity and courage.
My sister, Dr Uzma Khan, filed a petition before the Supreme Court on the 6th of May 2026 through Uzair Karamat Bhandari, ASC, for Imran Khan’s examination and treatment in the presence of his personal doctors and family members.
On 18th August, a three-member Supreme Court bench ordered the government to shift Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital within 2 days. The government blatantly violated the order.
The government did not shift Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital. All the other aspects of the order have also been disobeyed.
The Supreme Court had also ordered:
1.Constitution of a medical board in consultation and coordination with the management of Shifa International Hospital
2.Dr Faisal Sultan, Imran Khan’s personal physician, to be associated with the medical examination and treatment
3.Imran Khan be allowed to speak to his sons twice a week
4.Imran Khan be allowed to meet with his family once a week.
All the above reliefs were in accordance with the Constitution, Prison Rules and earlier orders/precedents.
NONE of the above directions have been complied with. The only limited access granted to the family has been to my sister, Noreen Niazi, who was allowed to meet Imran Khan on each of the previous two Tuesdays. Inexplicably, before meeting Imran Khan she was made to sign an affidavit undertaking that she will not speak to the press after the meeting.
In view of the gross and deliberate violation of the order, Dr Uzma Khan filed a petition for contempt of court. Despite the fact that our lawyer, Uzair Bhandari, filed two applications, early fixation and hearing of the contempt petition has not been granted and it has been fixed on 16th September.
The Constitution and the law require proper check up and treatment for Imran Khan and an END to his torture through isolation and solitary confinement!! This is what the Supreme Court order required. The demand that this be done is not extraordinary: these are Imran Khan’s fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution. If the government has no respect for the Constitution and the decisions of the Supreme Court, and can simply disregard its orders, what other forum is left for us?
A man who was rejected by the people of Lahore....and Pakistan, yet his daughter (a medical school drop out out) becomes the CM, with help of Pindi (in similar fashion she go admission into a medical school!) names a hospital built with peoples money in his name!
Truly in Pakistan Demo-cracy is the best revenge.....
