World Suicide Prevention Day but what does that look like at the @SFVAMC

I've just completed a full audit of over 4000 pages of medical records begging the VA for help. Messages sent to providers saying, "I can't fix this on my own." He thinks about "blowing his head off". And not once were we contacted by the suicide prevention team or provided more resources. Over and over I messaged and called before the incident that drastically changed our families lives in October 2022.

The impact of their negligence was only felt by our family but who would have been accountable if it was catastrophic?

The #Veteran suicide Epidemic is rising and the VA is failing families like ours.
