“Well, putting all the negatives aside, the atmosphere was really incredible. The support — honestly, even with that skate — the crowd never stopped cheering. They were supporting me the whole time, and that really meant a lot.”

On the pressure and the difficult moment:
“Honestly, the support is very special. In this sport, you have the privilege of being not only an athlete, but also an artist. But with that comes a lot of pressure — the expectations, the media, everything around it.

On What caused the problems?

“I’ve kind of said it already. It’s not a pleasant feeling, and I’m still trying to understand exactly what happened. But it’s done. I can’t change the outcome. Of course, a lot of people would go back and change it if they could. My life has had a lot of ups and downs, and in that moment, everything just felt very overwhelming. I honestly didn’t know how to handle it.”

On whether missing the quad Axel started the unraveling:

“I wouldn’t say it necessarily threw me off. I knew I didn’t need a perfect program. I still could have had a really good skate. But then more mistakes happened. I don’t know exactly what it was specifically — I’m still trying to understand. So I don’t really have a clear answer yet.”

On congratulating Mikhail Shaidorov:
“I actually went up to him and congratulated him. I watched him skate from the locker room, and I’m just so proud of him. I heard he didn’t have the best season. We’re all in this sport together, and we’re there for each other. That’s what makes this sport special.

I think people forget that sometimes. They only see us competing and assume we’re rivals without good relationships. But it’s actually the opposite. There’s joy, motivation, encouragement — we’re like a big family.”

@jlpritchard11 Ilia didn’t have the component score and Vincent did at the time as did Jason Brown to help with Team competition. It’s not only about the individual competition anymore sadly.

@Dalakhani14 @LeighGiangreco The French messed up two of the fundamental elements so no perfection. They were in team but not close in the free dance. Fell out of Twizzles and not synched in step sequence = bronze. The judge had a history of sandbagging their competitors all year. She did it to Canada too!

@ISU_Figure you should be ashamed saying you stand by the judge, Jezabel, when going through her scores all year she’s been biased and over scored the French and sandbagged their closest competitors. This is proven. They made fundamental mistakes on twizzles and step sequence!!

That judge even low balled Canada that was perfection. This is an atrocity and @ISU_Figure @Olympics should be ashamed and @USFigureSkating needs to file as should Canada

@ISU_Figure after decades of watching I’m appalled that the French team can make an error and get graded higher. They’ve gone clean and never scored this high. Ice Dancing has always been rigged by bias but this is another level for the @Olympics

@Delta I just want my bag that was locked up as more than one customer didn’t get it off carousel and they locked it up in room to go work flight. Rudely!!They told us it’ll be 45-1 hour as they had to wait on us 12 hours a day. I said you are getting paid, I’m not. MLU airport

@Delta you have huge issues at MLU airport. Walking to carousel to get bag and missed it going in back. They didn’t sit out or bring back out. Finally found one delta employee and she said she was going to work a fligh & I should’ve grabbed it. 30 min later no bag #deltaassist

Why do you ruin our ice dancing @NBCSports? Gabriella stumblesover words, awkwardly pause and over explain to ruin @USFigureSkating for us in an Olympic year? It’s been a long year and she hasn’t improved on an American broadcast.

You must fix your audio @NBCSports @enews @peacock on @ISU_Figure as I couldn’t hear Tara and Johnny commenting for two days as the audio was a mess while people were staking. The music was so loud and you couldn’t tell what @taralipinski @johnnyweirPR said 80% of time
