@therogueagent Iβm a vascular surgeon. AI and robots wonβt be replacing what I and my colleagues can do in the foreseeable future. Not just the technical aspects, but the judgment than comes from years of evaluating and treating patients.
@BrendanCarneyDO@UIowa_IR@PennCardiology That case is π₯. Great job. Usually, what happens is the wire gets stuck in the filter and this is what you will have to remove. It is unusual to dislodge the filter unless youβre pulling very hard or the cava is too large. Do you know what the cava diameter was?
@cfbechara@AruRobbie@farkomd@AWBeckMD@westleyohman Agree. Weβll see what the final cardiac workup including ischemic stress shows. I would favor open approach. Also can make PMEG or FenTreo work if not with low profile sheaths, then with a conduit.
How would you manage this asymptomatic 6.6 cm juxtarenal AAA in a 60-year-old man presenting with appendicitis? Smoker, history of cryptogenic stroke, stable claudication, CHF (EF 40%). Pay close attention to anatomy! @farkomd@AWBeckMD@westleyohman#AortaEd
@westleyohman@farkomd@AWBeckMD lol, sorry. If you click on the images and it will display the entire length including distal 3D. Here are the centerline MPRs. Rt: PT/Pe to ankle, Lt: only AT-DP to foot.
