Sad to see such destruction. Prayers for everyone's safety and for a quick recovery for the community affected. 🙏

No place of worship should become a scene of tragedy. Hoping for healing, peace, and restoration for all those impacted. 🕊️

Menschen in Zellen,
die Wände weisen ihr Augenlicht ab,
ihre Gesundheit ist der Gewalt unterworfen.
Menschen, die mehr Leid haben,
als sie tragen können.

Very good understanding of the Eritrean regime. It’s a fat one, “The Frankenstein of Dictatorship,” and the head of the snake is an 81-year-old tyrant. It is a virus but a quiet one: a deceiving, ruthless, evil, and manipulative group of criminals abusing and betraying the very people who make them who they are. The wardens of Eritrea take everything and ask for more, stealing the heritage of our people for themselves. Human resources, minerals, and Eritrea’s geographic location are in his hands to spend at his will, leaving the people of Eritrea in unending despair. #Eritrea #Bluerevolution #Transnationalrepression #Regimechange
The U.S. is considering normalizing relations with Eritrea & lifting sanctions.
At the same time, an American citizen, Ciham Ali, remains one of the longest unresolved disappearance cases involving a U.S. national.
Ciham was born in Los Angeles. She was 15 years old when she was unlawfully detained in Eritrea in 2012. More than a decade later, there has been no public accounting of her whereabouts or condition.
It is critical to build good diplomatic relations on a solid foundation of trust, & knowing the fate of the American teenager who disappeared into a prison system to never be seen again is a start.
Any discussion of improved U.S.–Eritrea relations should begin with a simple question:
Where is Ciham Ali?

Under the regime, Eritreans also suffer from a lack of food and clean drinking water, and are forced into hard labor. It is shameful that people still lack basic necessities in the 21st century. As a result, many are forced onto the streets to beg. #BlueRevolution@IntlCrimCourt

“One of the losses in the last, how many years of national service (NS) is that it was a NS (youth who completed their regular mandatory national service) left thrown on the street after failing their college entrance exams, even the MAMOS program we introduced (supposedly to help them) did not work. And there was no deployment to the military (referring a time where NS were not being deployed to the military – there never was such a time), tens of thousands every year, almost the number of youths left aimlessly idle cannot be underestimated.”
The tyrant is putting the blame on the youth for giving up on an educational system that groom them to be regime slaves for life. And, present his regime as a benevolent actor who cares and try alternative methods to help the youth in education 🙄 making it sound like it is a "No Child Left Behind" program😠
The delusion is stark. It is a display of regime's despise to the Eritrean people. pfdj has set up a conveyor belt that churns out uneducated, unawaken, indoctrinated to militarism & servile obedience youth to subdue and control the people. Ensuring unchecked grip on power in the nation. To do as it feels fit. Not checked by any lawful body and institutions.
Lawlessness is the highest form of corruption, and hence a reflection of total failure in a nation. This is the reason why Eritrea is a failed nation.
This is an Eritrean refugee in Libya being abused for wearing the cross as Christian in a Muslim country 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 ! #Libya#Eritrea@UNHumanRights@UEmbasy87367 please help
We refuse to accept fear as a way of life.
We refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice. We refuse to surrender our future to dictatorship. Blue Revolution is a people’s movement driven by the belief that Eritrea belongs to its citizens not to a ruler, a party, or a privileged few. We stand for freedom over oppression, justice over impunity, truth over propaganda, and hope over despair.
Our struggle is not against a people, religion, region, or generation. Our struggle is against tyranny, corruption, and the denial of fundamental human rights.

Important note:* Most Eritreans and the government celebrate May 24 as Independence Day. This "Black day" view is the perspective of opposition groups like the Blue Revolution movement.

@martinplaut@martinplaut That's a million dollar❓, it seems. On one hand @UN extends the mandate to further investigate Crimes Against Humanity & Systemic Human Rights Abuse that's dire in #Eritrea. On the other hand, you appoint @Eritrea_UN regime's mouthpiece for VP at @UNICEF? @BBC
@PAfwerki seems to have inherited power. However, because his supporters lack the qualifications to present these facts, they have chosen to wander aimlessly. The propagandist @SirakBahlbi is among them. Even you disagree with your boss be careful🙈. #BlueRevolution#EndSawaAbuse
What is more tragic and painful than seeing those who sacrificed their lives for their country being killed by an oppressive and abusive regime? They are only asking for a pay raise because they are hungry; what they have isn't enough. #BlueRevolution#RegimeChangeInEritrea@UN
