Does anyone have experience as an Instructional Designer? I’ve been developing an online tutor portal, and I think I’ve found a new passion! I would love to connect with others. #alwayslearning

Here is the article I contributed to and published alongside Kathleen Whitbread & Sheryl Knapp. Let me know if you have any questions ☺️
@jmlukins I could see myself working in a college setting, but I wanted to hear how others have found alternative paths within their PhD journey. My heart is truly in research + developing reading interventions. ❤️📚 I could envision a PhD opening more doors than a Masters.
I would like to begin my journey of pursuing a Ph.D. in Special Education. What are some alternative career choices in the field? The competitive nature of faculty positions in this current climate is making me think outside of the box 😊
@cwalterswrite @ELindstromPhD Thank you! 🙏 Most of my work has been in the nonprofit world (building educational programs, grant writing, etc.). I’ve been taking the alternative highway since I’ve received my teaching degree/special Ed cert.
Day 5 of program development:
📚misses “check ins” with my students where most of them tell me they are excited to see me
📚misses the variety of names my students have given me: Ms. Weesa, Meliss, Teacher, Ugh it’s you, Mamelissa
📚misses their proud faces
Why we need evidence-based reading instruction at the secondary level: “Every subject is a reading subject when you can’t read.” @KJWinEducation at @AIMtoLearn
New to the Twitter Game 😎 I’m excited to connect with educational professionals. If anyone has any suggestions on people I should follow, drop their info below (focused primarily in the area of reading)☺️
