I asked Floridians what's keeping them up at night.
The answers weren't Washington politics.
They were insurance premiums.
AI data centers.
Property taxes.
Housing costs.
Overdevelopment.
That's what I'm focused on.
We lost in Frisco Texas because over 90% Muslims voted and only 22% Christians.
Need to educate pastors that the new 2025 IRS ruling allows pastors to endorse from the pulpit. Not campaign though. Mosques are following the law. They are allowed to endorse. We need to do the same and explain it’s Biblically justified to be active civically and organize our churches to vote.
@JenHeroldFL I am not a bot. This post reminds me of @ByronDonalds Rino friend in our State Legislature @Daniel_PerezFL who accused us of being bots when we came against him on the immigration issues. Just because we stand up and are vocal doesn't mean we are bots. ❤️🇺🇸
I agree!! I can not even believe what the @FloridaGOP is doing. It honestly reminds me of something Democrats would do! As a Florida Republican voter I'm ashamed of them. People not on social media are starting to find out and are mad. Keep spreading the word ❤️🇺🇸
BREAKING: WE THE PEOPLE OF FLORIDA DEMAND A GOP PRIMARY DEBATE BE HELD FOR THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA.
Debates among competing electoral candidates have become a campaign centerpiece in elections nationwide.
Many states have developed a debate tradition and usually civil society groups have been critical in making these happen.
Debates help voters make informed choices and encourage candidates to focus on policy issues, a conviction so widely held that these candidate showdowns have become mainstays of the electoral process in many places.
We, the legal and registered Voters of Florida, are calling for all the Florida GOP gubernatorial candidates to stand up and be held accountable to the Voters of Florida and debate (at least once, more if time permits)
Florida is too important of a state and our nation is at a historical turning point and we must make certain our choices for Governor of Florida are based on open and transparent election processes.
Therefore, We The People of Florida DEMAND a GOP gubernatorial DEBATE prior to the primary elections.
@ByronDonalds@JayCollinsFL@j_fishback@Paul_Renner@GovRonDeSantis
The left should do the same but will almost certainly not adhere to any fair process. But WTPOF challenge them as well.
Donalds represents everything that is wrong with the Republican Party. Following Trump's example, the new norm is to install an establishment yes man who will follow the leader and cater to the donors. If there are no debates in Florida, then the GOP will die in Florida as well.
Attention Florida District 2:
Do NOT elect Evan Powergrabber.
Mr. Power has DENIED registered Republican voters the opportunity to hear from all R candidates for FL governor, so PLEASE deny him a promotion.
Just say NO to Evan Power!
@WhiteHouse Happy Birthday to the best President of my lifetime!!I am so grateful for you. May God continue to guide you in making decisions for our great nation. May His blessings pour down upon you.
The chairman of the party should not be insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. A debate was promised and these ridiculous criteria are being used to renege on that promise and to engineer a preferred outcome.
Why not just take 90 minutes, find a tv partner, and let the candidates mix it up?
The only reason why you wouldn’t is if the party hierarchy is serving outside interests instead of the best interests of the voters.
🚨Governor DeSantis RIPS the @FloridaGOP to SHREDS for trying to RIG the election for Byron Donalds!
Says they are BETRAYING voters by canceling the debate w their SHADY secret criteria!
Says HE wouldn’t have won in 2018 if they rigged it this way!
“Yeah, there should be a debate! They said they were going to do a debate. They didn't put out the criteria publicly. I don't think RPOF ever voted on any type of criteria. I've heard secondhand what the criteria was. I wouldn't have qualified when I ran in ‘18 for what they were trying to do!
And so it's counterproductive when you try to engineer an outcome because you need a coalition of voters to do well. And this may be a tough cycle for Republicans if you look at some of the indicators, the way things are trending. And so having an open process and having people be able to have their say is always better than to try to engineer an outcome.
So what the party should be doing is what's in the best interest of Republican voters. You shouldn't have another agenda. You shouldn't be answering to ANYONE ELSE (Susie Wiles) other than the voters there.
Now, having said that, this whole notion that the party should control debates is ridiculous. You don't need the party to control it! They have NO AUTHORITY to control debates.
We did a debate when I was running in 18. We did one on Fox News and had nothing to do with it. I mean, I think the party was involved in terms of like getting people to attend, but we did it. They put it on TV. And so you can do something like that, having nothing to do with the party. You know, the party has a very limited role.
It should be a CANDIDATE-DRIVEN process and NOT for people to be making decisions who voters have never voted into those positions to begin with! So line up something with TV, line up something, radio, all these different forms. There's a whole host of ways that you can do, but to just set criteria, especially with polling when most people haven't started paying attention. Qualifying just ended today. So up until 11.59 this morning, you could have qualified to run in these races!
So yeah, I think to do those types of criteria, I think ultimately is counterproductive. I think you alienate people for no reason. And look, we've had a great run in Florida, but part of it is, you know, we've really, I think respected the voters and worked really hard to build that trust and support that has seen us go from 300,000 more registered Democrats when I got elected in 18 to now 1.5 million more registered Republicans.
I mean, I won this county in 2022, Palm Beach. First time in 40 years a Republican was able to do that. And Palm Beach used to have 170,000 gap between DNR. That gap is narrow dramatically to where you potentially could have Palm Beach have a plurality of Republican registrants. But I think that complicates it if people don't have confidence in the party label in the party brand.”
The FL GOP might be vastly underestimating the resolve of the DeSantis base to not have in our state primary what happened in our presidential primary.
Florida doesn’t like coronations and no debates.
Governor Ron DeSantis didn't appoint me because I was the safest choice.
He appointed me because he knew I'd fight for Florida's families, stand up for our values, and get results.
I've spent my life serving this country. Now I'm focused on serving the people of Florida.
Let's keep Florida moving forward.
This is an asinine decision. This is a great way for the Florida GOP to lose a lot of Republican votes in the general election. All it does is cause division, and it sours the base. Even if Byron Donalds were to become governor, it would be difficult for him to govern, if half the Republican base feels cheated and betrayed. I don't care what the polls say or how much money Byron Donalds has raised, Republican voters have a right to see a real debate between all candidates who qualified. Replacing an excellent governor like DeSantis who has turned Florida into a beacon of conservatism shouldn't be taken lightly. A robust primary to choose the best option to replace DeSantis is absolutely necessary. If Donalds is so great, then there shouldn't be a problem with having a real primary debate.
If you are a registered Republican in Florida, contact the Republican Party of Florida and demand a debate with all the candidates that have qualified.

@DefiyantlyFree I don’t think so… Florida is not stupid. We learned during Covid and the Hurricanes just how important WHO your governor is matters. Donald’s runs from the hurricanes. He did Nothing while in Fl. We need a Gov that actually works.
@GatesMcgavick I won’t be voting for him & have not spoken to anybody in the Panhandle who is. Florida deserves better. He will not even debate. I learned during Covid and hurricane Michael how important who your Governor is. The governor of state impacts your life more than the president.
@ScottforFlorida@ByronDonalds If Donald’s is so good for Florida let him prove it with a debate. I live in the panhandle and I have not spoken to anyone who feels he is a strong candidate.
We love Trump but feel Trump is wrong on this enforcement.❤️🇺🇸

@SusieWiles
Republican voters promise this.
We will NOT ALLOW YOU to install BYRON into FLORIDA regardless who endorses him. No one loves Trump more than Florida. That doesn’t mean he got it right.
