It devalues every other Persona users just to prop up you (or your surrogate).
This also plays into my tweet about stylisation, cause now everything revolves around the MC, even down to the menu (in a literal sense).

They worked in P3, cause it was in addition to development in the story, but in later entries, these end up being ALL the development some of these characters get.
