A poor Man doesn't't deserve an erection.
But when he is rich society begins to dictate to him how to use the erection his financial Status has afforded him. 😁
How did you think prices of House Rent increased so sharply in Nigeria?
It is majorly about the greed of our countrymen. Jobless people who created jobs for themselves through 'Agency" work, due to the poor regulation of that sector, which is supposed to be handled by only trained and registered Valuers, approached landlords to give them free hands to bring in tenants. They approached fraudsters who were ready to pay any amount, usually inexperienced young boys with money they never worked legitimately, with time, for, to rent those houses. They put it higher than the actual value of the rents based on facilities in the property and also used that mechanism to extort percentages of their agency fee. Since it looked attractive to the landlords, they let it stay. Landlords don't have access to Fraudsters, it is agents and some Lawyers who are approached that bring them in. When they inflate these rents and the fraudster goes broke, he leaves. They won't decrease and legitimate workers who are desperate because of housing deficit would have to cough out what they don't earn to pay rents.
There’s strength in saying, “Maybe I’m the bad guy,” and walking away quietly. No 47-paragraph explanation. No begging to be understood. No courtroom defense of your character. Just leave. Time has a funny way of exposing who was telling the truth, who was pretending, and who needed a villain to protect their own version of the story. TIME. Let it testify.
The part that stays with me is knowing you knew exactly how down I was for you and still chose to play with me. That wasn’t confusion. That was a decision. And once I see that clearly, I can never look at you the same.
Nothing stays with you like realizing nobody is coming. No rescue. No safety net. You came from nothing, had nobody to lean on, and at times felt like you were nothing. That kind of loneliness either breaks you or builds something in you that can’t be taught. Eventually, you stop waiting to be saved and become the person you were waiting for.
Do you know what it means to wake up knowing no human being born of a woman controls what you do, where you go, or who you speak to? No permission. No approval. No human authority over your life except your own choices under God. That kind of freedom changes how you move.
Some people only love you when you stay the same. The moment you grow, set boundaries, and outgrow old patterns, they get uncomfortable. You didn’t lose them because you changed. You exposed the fact that they only liked the version of you they could predict.
It hit me hard when Voltaire said, “Think about the difficulty you have in changing yourself, and you will understand how slim your chances are of changing others.” If changing your own habits, mindset, discipline, and character can feel like war, imagine trying to fight that war inside somebody else. Stop exhausting yourself trying to remake people. See them clearly, accept what they show you, and decide whether who they are still deserves access to you.
People who have really lived know there’s nothing permanent in this life. You can go from 100 to zero, and from zero back to 100. So when you’re winning, stay close to God. And when your luck turns, stay even closer. Never let success make you arrogant or hardship make you forget who carried you before.
