NDDB is the implementing agency for the GoI’s National Beekeeping and Honey Mission and the10,000 FPO scheme aimed at cultivating and promoting FPOs under which NDDB is promoting 26 honey FPOs. In line with the GoI mission to promote beekeeping, NDDB in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited known as 'Aanchal Dairy' @AanchalPure , conducted a National Level Seminar on Beekeeping at Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. The seminar drew a diverse audience comprising farmers, beekeepers, industry experts and stakeholders. Dignitaries including Shri Rajesh Gupta and Shri Anil Hatekar from NDDB, Dr. Manoj Sharma, Asst Commissioner @NationlBeeBoard , Prof. Somdev Shatanshu, Vice Chancellor of Gurukul Kangri University and Shri Jaideep Arora, MD of UCDF attended the event.
The seminar not only served as a platform to enlighten farmers on the nuances of Scientific Beekeeping but also paved the way for a collaborative roadmap.
UCDF is a designated CBBO by NDDB under GoI’s 10,000 FPO scheme in Haridwar district. Thus, 'Aanchal Madhu Utpadak Swayatt Sahakarita,' a Beekeepers’ FPO/Cluster for beekeeping has been set-up.
