π¨$351.6M confirmed lost in the Bitget breach π¨
Merkle Science's monitoring saw this first, before it was public.
Our monitoring caught large multi-chain outflows from Bitget hot and cold wallets, then rapid swapping of USDT, USDC, and XAUt across DEXs as the attacker moved to convert stolen funds.
We've informed agencies and exchanges and are staying vigilant.
Behavioral, predictive monitoring catches this. Watchlists don't.

$1.7M drained from a "retired" Notional Finance V1 contract that was still funded and unmonitored.
Two transactions, three minutes apart. An unchecked integer overflow let a fabricated position sail through collateral checks.
We traced the funds to Tornado Cash and found the attacker's gas came through NEAR's intents infrastructure, not the usual bridge-and-mixer route.

A sanctions designation identifies an entity.
But what happens when that entity keeps changing wallets?
HTXβs rapid wallet rotation shows why address-based screening alone can fall behind.
We break down why real-time attribution matters for crypto sanctions screening.

The illicit activity picture has flipped. What used to run on Bitcoin now runs on stablecoins, for the same reasons legitimate users are adopting them: speed, stability, and low fees.
Our CEO @MrigankPattnaik on how the threat landscape has shifted and what it means for compliance teams tracing these flows.
When Merkle Science started, Bitcoin was where most criminal activity happened. Today over 90% involves stablecoins.
@MrigankPattnaik, CEO of @MerkleScience, tells @lucytokenbay that $150 billion in illicit activity moved across crypto wallets in 2025, and criminals love stablecoins for the same reason consumers do.
