🎉 Congratulations to the new Dr. Elisa Merlini @MerliniElisa, who absolutely crushed her PhD viva! So proud of you—what a massive achievement and so well deserved 🎓! As my first PhD student, I couldn’t have hoped for more. Excited to support you on your next steps! @CamNeuro
Yesterday we celebrated Michael’s nomination to the Research Culture Celebration @Cambridge_Uni. Thanks for making our lab such an enjoyable place to work and learn, Michael!
@Lab_Coleman reunion with @Andrea_Loreto1 and @ClaraMutschler at the Axon Degeneration Meeting. And great to catch up with so many others too and hear about huge advances on this topic since the last meeting.
What a session at the Axon Degeneration Meeting. Former postdoc (now PI) @Andrea_Loreto1, current postdoc @MerliniElisa , collaborator @NeuroVino and valued colleague @ves_petrova all speaking/chairing on amazing work. Glowing inside as I listen!
A wonderful PhD student who will continue to grow and grow as a wonderful researcher. Congratulations @MerliniElisa on a well-deserved PhD! And many thanks to @DajasBailador and @lyons_lab for your input and discussion as examiners.

Congratulations to Christina Antoniou who passed her viva today with a truly amazing thesis full of independent work done at such a difficult time. And thanks to examiners @LukasNeukomm1 and @Jellevda. Glad you had such an interesting discussion!
The 2023 @Lab_Coleman retreat. How we got here and where we’re going, workplace culture and values, the uses, limitations and threats of AI in research, advice from the PhD classes of 1986-2020 to the class of 2023, forest walk, food, gin, M Phil celebration and haunted caves.
Sharing this experience with my fellow lab members made it all more special. Very grateful to the PNS society for selecting my talk and to my mentors and colleagues for helping me in preparation to this event @Lab_Coleman.
Had a wonderful time presenting my PhD research at the annual @PNSociety1 meeting in Copenhagen. As a first time attendee and Junior PNS member, I learned a lot about clinical perspectives of PNS research and how my findings fit into the landscape of toxic neuropathy. #PNS2023
