Special thanks to @GarnettGenuis for shedding light on what is happening in reality, despite IRCC’s ‘case-by-case’ responses. The reality is that Canada has failed to protect conscripts after the listing.
While @KenHardie , a member of the @liberal_party , believes sufficient time has been spent, the outcome shows the effort has not been adequate. As @NazaninAJ correctly pointed out, more than 10,000 families of former conscripts have been devastated due to the absence of a clear guideline (https://t.co/YOPjhhFmis)
Definition of ‘membership,’ has bee already passed by parliament of Canada as a non-binding resolution. We hope @MarkJCarney and @LenaMetlegeDiab would review this file.

We’re grateful to the Conservative MP @GarnettGenuis who spoke openly and in depth about the injustice facing former IRGC conscripts. Thank you to the Conservative Party for seeing us as human beings, not collateral damage of a policy gone wrong, and for acknowledging the harm done to innocent families.

We look forward to your leadership and concrete initiatives to help resolve this issue.

We also remain hopeful that the Liberal government will honor its promises, protect victims of the IRGC rather than further victimizing them, and put forward solutions to reverse the unjust decisions already affecting innocent families.

I recently met with @MortazaviMahsa to discuss the critical importance of designating Iran’s IRGC as a terrorist organization. The Iranian regime’s support for Hamas and the global spread of terror through the IRGC is deeply concerning.

My Bill C-350 would list the IRGC as a terrorist organization and shut down their operations here in Canada.
