Is it just me or does Irish rock n roll seem to have an extra level of passion and meaning.
From Van Morrison to Fountains DC
From the Undertones to Inhaler.
U2 to CMAT and so on.

@mapadisa @johncusack @PammysParcels @U2 Bono in 2024 pledged to donate to the nonprofit Medical Aid For Palestinians, saying the band “stands in solidarity with the people of Palestine who truly seek a path to peace and coexistence with Israel and with their rightful and legitimate demand for statehood.”

@diddleydee2021 @itsonlyme1181 @elrat @JamieBrysonLLB Gents would it be rude to suggest a united Ireland as a solution. We can all March up and down the Gervaghy arm in arm. Sing fenian tunes and bate them big drums. St Paddys Day parades tearing through east Belfast n all n anywayz.

Back home in Dublin… No better way to spend our 50th anniversary than with the beautiful souls of Grafton Street last night 🇮🇪

[CONSEQUENCE @consequence]

Earlier today, U2 returned to Mount Temple Comprehensive School to mark the 50th anniversary of their formation, staging a special schoolyard concert for 1,000 students and staff on the same spot where the band first performed together more than five decades ago.

The seven-song setlist included their first-ever single "Out of Control."

You dont have to love em but its pretty amazing that 4 school kids from Dublin are still recording music with their 50th anniversary approaching. 25th September 1976. 4 kids answered a school notice board. @u2 congrats, same 4 lads.

@Coolfin6 @EricTrump @Trump @IrishOpen_ @TrumpDoonbeg @museumsireland Are you crazy. The vast majority of Irish citizens oppose the Trump visit and disagree with most of his policies. Nothing personal but his political weaponry will one day destroy those American ideals that they crave.

Christ on a bike. Just pulled in after hearing of the passing of Glen Hansard. May that salt of the earth human being and supremely talented musician rest in piece.
