@KetoCounselor@drjenunwin Very much the tip of the iceberg.
Above water we see you “fine-tuning”. Unseen below water is this huge mass of all the hard work & learning that enables you to do it!
By all accounts your written education / coursework are outstanding - per already self-taught folks. 💪🙏💪
So thankful @KetoCounselor is doing this through her nonprofit! An online friend in an underserved country was so frustrated DIY. Only 2 weeks in & even I’m learning from them!
Take my Mg 1-2 hours before bed + evening light ⬆️ 💤 💪
🙏 @Metabolic_Mind ⬆️ her visibility🏆🙏
I want you to know, that most of the people joining my online program through my nonprofit since we publicly announced are already on low-carbohydrate or even ketogenic diets. They’re trying so hard to get it right. But they lack the education and support to pinpoint what’s not quite working.
Can you imagine the frustration of watching others recover and not being able to access the education and support you need for yourself?
I can. It’s why I started this nonprofit. I found a way to deliver education and support in a scalable, efficient, wholly human, and celebratory manner—a way that’s now tried, tested, true, and unapologetically amazing.

@matthewbaszucki@SamaHoole@foundmyfitness has been on fire lately
Her deep dive on coffee was good but still doesn’t negate your point that cutting coffee / stimulants may be beneficial for those who tend to mania.
My ? is does that apply to KMT for TBI as well? My java addiction is an n=1 hurdle!😊
@matthewbaszucki@SamaHoole I’m also don’t enjoy the predawn!
Arthur Brook on @foundmyfitness gave a good explanation as to why some value it more than others. My default is happy ➡️his cheerleader type. 2 of 4 types benefit. Timestamp 51.
Also talk about some themes I first heard from you on TFP
A condition once considered a contraindication for ketogenic therapy may have just become one of its newest indications, and certainly an area worth more research.
Anorexia nervosa.
And it's not the only “contraindication” to become an indication. This is a story about how our bias against ketosis has been limiting our healing. 🧵
A critical note for tapering off psych meds:
The closer you get to zero milligrams, the slower you have to go.
This is called hyperbolic tapering. Going 100mg -> 90mg is 10%. But going 20mg -> 10mg is 50% (10mg reduction from 20mg) but ALSO a 10mg drop. The absolute drop is the same but the percentage of OVERALL MEDICATION is higher.
Some psychiatrists will try to take you off in four to six weeks regardless of dose. That is not a taper. That is discontinuation. Do not let them do this to you.
@matthewbaszucki Yes.
I no longer stress about getting plants in if it isn’t convenient. I know enough people who feel their best mostly carnivore over the long term. Many are clinicians.
Personally, I feel well with or without and root for anyone listening to their bio-individuality.
We’re recruiting UK adults for a research study exploring ketogenic metabolic therapy for depression and anxiety. 🧠 If you want to see how nutrition may improve your mental health, we invite you apply here, starts July 13th: https://t.co/v4tox4qMfh

@matthewbaszucki My mom had seen her Dad descend into forgetfulness. Dementia? Her mom broke a bone every time she fell. Osteoporosis.
So she walked everywhere. Carried her groceries home in a backpack or cart. Lots of nature. Sun early & late in the day. Cooked her own food. Learned new things
@matthewbaszucki 🙏 Perhaps hs-CRP as well to measure inflammation. Those of us who us who are prone to arthritis show up there first.
Omega-3. Vitamin D. Magnesium.
Defining “full” is so helpful for us lay folks. 🙏
@matthewbaszucki Interesting. Despite her mental illness my mom declined extended use of psych medications because of the “horrible side effects.”
She lived 15 yrs longer (87) than a sibling who took them, was much more functional, & embraced metabolic therapies as she aged. Eventually keto.
