Legal AI can certainly help people understand procedures and draft documents, but treating it as a tool that puts ordinary individuals on equal footing with institutions in court seems premature.

Current LLMs still suffer from hallucinations, context dilution in large document sets, and inconsistent reasoning, exactly the kinds of failures that can be disastrous in legal disputes.
