Proposal for Enhancing Force Protection and Response Capability at PA Posts and During Convoy Movement

At a minimum, each Pakistan Army post should be equipped with 4 to 6 armed unmanned systems, including both quadcopter UAS and FPV loitering munitions. This will provide immediate organic ISR and precision strike capability at the post level without waiting for higher echelon support.

For command and control, we need to channelize real-time communication between the post, convoy Command, nearby PA posts, Battalion Headquarters, and intelligence agencies through a common secure tactical datalink. This will enable a sub-minute response cycle from the moment an incident is reported to when firepower or QRF is vectored to the location.

For convoy movement, it is critical to mandate pre-route and overwatch reconnaissance using scout drones to detect possible militant ambush sites, IED emplacement, and movement of suspicious personnel along the route and on high ground.

Example Systems for Reference
Armed Quadcopters / ISR-Strike UAS:
⚫- GIDS Shahpar-II for persistent ISR with light munitions capability
⚫- Uqab-II for battlefield surveillance and target designation
⚫- Commercial-grade armed quadcopters like DJI Matrice 350 RTK modified with drop munitions for post-level immediate response
