@PatientlyHating @andrewpprice I think it's more complex than that, let's say I mine ETH on my machine, the mining process is just the act to partecipate to a "proof of transaction" that could be on a nft or everything else, am I on coal? it depends. How many miners aren't in a coal-predominant country?

@andrewpprice In the end I think the situation is very complex, and needs dedicated researchers to be addressed, but the mass interested is moved by edgy and sensactional claims, like the ones we are seing now on ntf costs. Everyone is jumping on conclusion but real experts

@andrewpprice I doubt China mining farms are running on hydro when they are predominantly on coal. In europe the coal is still strong even if the nuclear production are quite used. I think those are avarage guess on co2 production, base on the fact that coal energy is chep and most used
