👉Prednisone = Cortisone = Dexamethasone = Hydrocortisone Acetate.
👉5mg = 25mg = 0.75mg = 20mg.
👉Hydrocortisone.
* Synthetic version of cortisol.
* Short acting, active form of glucocorticoid.
👉Prednisolone/prednisone.
* Intermediate acting.
* Four times more glucocorticoid activity than cortisol.
👉Methylprednisolone
* Active form of synthetic glucocorticoid.
* Intermediate acting.
* Five times more glucocorticoid activity than cortisol.
👉Dexamethasone
* Long acting.
* 30 times more glucocorticoid activity than cortisol.
👉Patients taking physiological dose of 5mg prednisone or 20mg hydrocortisone/day or higher, for a period of ≥ 3 weeks should be considered at risk of HPA axis suppression.

💩Irinotecan can cause life-threatening diarrhea.
Subcutaneous atropine 250 mcg immediately prior to irinotecan is used for the prevention of acute cholinergic syndrome.
An additional 250 mcg subcutaneous dose may be given to relieve cholinergic symptoms if they develop.
⚠️Nevirapine carries a black-box warning for serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Giant cell arteritis (GCA)
Treatment:
Prednisolone, 40-60 mg (not < 0.75 mg/kg) for 4 weeks (or until symptoms and laboratory abnormalities resolve), then
Reduce dose by 10 mg every 2 weeks to 20 mg, then
Reduce dose by 2.5 mg every 2-4 weeks to 10 mg, then
Reduce dose by 1 mg every 1-2 months, provided no relapse occurs.
