@SraRumpSpanish Our parent teacher conferences were canceled with our two week closure. My district starts the closure tomorrow. We are not allowed to return to work until the 30th. I’m going to spend my time relaxing, considering this is probably going to be our spring break!
My Blog: Gamification - Post 1 (https://t.co/lVVcYioPdv), Post 2 (https://t.co/gqyehnudLn). If you have time, feel free to check out my blog on Gamification in the Classroom!
@Hannah08CH Students use QR code’s to post work to their personal portfolios on Classdojo. We also use 4 sided QR code’s to upload answers into Plickers. #wuedt6020
@BrittanySantoni I use Classdojo daily. It is easy to message parents on the messager or class story. There is even an “events” tab, which will send out reminders automatically. My favorite part is the notifications block, which will hold notifications until designated school hours. #wuedt6020
@Swalls725 I use Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Slides the most. Theses features are user friendly for the students. I also use Smart Notebook and Smartlabs. These are customizable games, which the students complete and I take data on. All students need is an iPad and Class ID.
@CaitlinWilmu We used Benchmark Advanced, as our ELA curriculum. These assessments have the ability to read text to students. It can also read question and answer choices. This is huge for student who cannot read yet. It also has tools, like highlighters and line spacers, for student use.
@gattuso_ms I use apps like Kahoot! and Plickers, to assess student learning. These sites get me data on student learning, while using iPads or Chromebooks. They students feel like they are playing, while I am getting important data. This helps me know which important concepts to reteach.
@CKnightWilmU I use technology to differentiate in the classroom. I mostly focus this in Reading and Language arts. I use Benchmark Advanced, Epic, and iReady to sort books and instruction to students, by their reading level.
A new trend is Automated Attendance Monitoring. Students sign in as they enter the classroom or building. This is a great way to have “right now“ information in an emergency. My class uses ClassDojo before entering the classroom. #wuedt6020

@EdTechJen@RoeEDT One of our science units is “catching the wind“. This is an engineering unit. The book we read is about making windmills and studying wind and weather patterns. This website would be a great resource to find weather patterns around the world! #wuedt6020
@CaitlinWilmu@RoeEDT I think that this is a great idea. A favorite “morning meeting” in my room is the “hello” activity. With this activity students learn how to say hello in another language. Then we study up on some of the culture behind it. We have looked at videos from other cultures. #wuedt6020
I found an interesting collaboration tool that can develop meaningful global connections. At https://t.co/CjqYeAMVZt students can collaborate with each other around the world, to complete educational projects. I believe it seems very beneficial. #wuedt6020
@LaurenBritting2 I also chose to implement “Gamification”. I feel it is an easy and fun way to have more students involvement. Students will want to learn more, if they think they’re just playing games and having fun. #wuedt6020
@BrittanySantoni Mobile learning would also be very easy to implement into my classroom. I use a few different apps, where students can participate in work at home. With the growing demand of technology use, I feel technology is always getting more prevalent within the classroom. #wuedt6020
@LaurenBritting2 I feel like “virtual reality“ and “gamification” are very similar in their ability to engage students into learning. I chose “gamification” As the component I wanted to implement in my classroom; however, virtual reality also seems to have great benefits. Great post! #wuedt6020
@Santoro_Wilmu I chose “Gamification” for my project; however, mobile learning would also be very easy to implement into my classroom. With the growing demand of technology use, I feel technology is always getting more prevalent within the classroom. I love your graphic! #wuedt6020
Twitter Chat Q1: I will most likely adopt gamification into my classroom. I use some concepts of it already. I feel that the students respond very well to it. It is easier to get educational concepts across, when students enjoy the learning. #wuedt6020
