@LaurenBritting2 Thank you for sharing! In this class, I learned that feedback is an important aspect of gamification, Kahoot does this well and even gives an overall score. I’ve seen students become very engaged in friendly competition while playing. #wuedt6020
@CaitlinWilmu Thank you for sharing, I like that students can create their own games as a way to show what they have learned. Students could even play one another's games as a celebration of learning and to know what standards they have mastered and which they need to practice. #wuedt6020
@Ryan_WilmU I will incorporate Bloom’s taxonomy into my technology integration by carefully using the SAMR model. Students will create, evaluate, and analyze to solve problems using tools and resources available through today’s technology. #wuedt6020
@gbrazill26 My short term goal for technology integration is leveraging Google Expedition experiences for learning. My long term goal for technology integration is using Peardeck and Nearpod to support instruction. #wuedt6020
@CKnightWilmU Adaptive tools like MyOn and Dreambox can differentiate instruction with immediate feedback. These programs support students in learning the skills they are struggling with and move them on to the next skill once they show proficiency. #wuedt6020
@CaitlinWilmu@RoeEDT I agree that it is helpful for students to see from new perspectives, especially from cultures unfamiliar to them, so that they can learn from them. Also, I think collaboration is key so students learn to navigate challenges in communicating between cultures. #wuedt6020
@BrittanySantoni@RoeEDT It's awesome that this program has students problem-solve with people around the world because that is a necessary and increasingly important skill for the 21st-century learner. Also, it's a good opportunity for students to learn from other cultures. Thanks for sharing!#wuedt6020
@RoeEDT Teachers can have students join programs like https://t.co/rELM35udCj that have global discussions around data with students and scientists. Additionally, students can connect with people and organizations doing work in a field of the students' interest on social media.#wuedt6020
@Mgray0012 It's awesome that you're already using gamification! I agree that learning is better when students are having fun! I'm interested in infusing it more in my classroom in the future, particularly in social studies since there is currently more focus on ELA and math. #wuedt6020
@CaitlinWilmu@RoeEDT This is a great way to leverage technology well to support effective instruction. It's particularly helpful that computer-based adaptive learning differentiates by supporting students with tasks for the specific standard they need to practice. #wuedt6020
The emerging trend I will most likely adopt is virtual reality. Our new curriculum has a unit I would like to try that includes students creating their own virtual reality about something they have learned, then students explore their classmates’ virtual realities. #wuedt6020
