@SKashner Being able to take verbal answers also allows for more explanation on the students end that you can't get from written or typed responses. I always hear students say, "What I meant was..." when referencing written answers. #wuedt6020

@EdTechJen My district uses Dreambox too. Students can use it at school or home to reinforce the skills from class. It also allows me to check student progress immediately. #wuedt6020

@RoeEDT I still receive letters requesting to be pen pals with other classes. Using one of the many video chat options my students could see, speak to, and learn from students and teachers from around the world. The life experience and diversity would be great for my kids! #wuedu6020

@RoeEDT Totally missed answering the 2nd question. The place I would use a Virtual Assistant the most would probably in writing. I know it would be very helpful during our research writing unit, as well as helping my students with spelling.
