@Miss_A_Goodman That is such a cool idea. I have friends that have professional instagrams where they post fun activities but not much about the students!
@SKashner@CanfieldBlaise I am thinking about using Twitter or snap chat but creating one specific to my class for the kids to follow. If you look up #booksnaps there are some really cool uses for snap chat!
@CKnightWilmU#wuedt6020 Differentiation with technology is much easier. I like to set up schoology folders and individually assign the activity to groups based on their level of need. This allows them to read different stories or complete activities based on Lexile level as well.
@MrTSLindsey Online etiquette needs to be modeled and reinforced. A lot of the time we mention it in a syllabus, then never again. As teachers, we should reward kids for doing the right thing, and help revise behavior when poor and show samples like popular news stories to reinforce severity.
@lofland_k Depending on age of students, there are a lot of apps and technology that are cellphone friendly. Almost every student has a phone (or could be in groups based on resources). Simple things like: including QR codes for a gallery walk or recording a skit on a phone #wuedt6020
@lofland_k@RoeEDT Have you heard of #Snapbooks? They use snapchat to annotate books, I am so excited to try it! When you mentioned 'storybooks' I immediately thought of this new tool. Please let me know what you end up doing!
@trhoran88 @Ryan_WilmU @RoeEDT They are actually starting a thing at my school called TEDx talks which showcase students and allowing their voices to be heard, I will definitely keep everyone in the loop when they go live this April!
@SraRumpSpanish@Mgray0012 Wow, this is really cool! I read a novel with my students "I Will Always Write Back" about pen-pals, I wonder if this tool could be used similarly to the way it is discussed in the novel.
@lofland_k@RoeEDT I'm not sure if you know this, but it is actually becoming/already a law (in some areas) and there are new legal documents about it. I put information on my infographic about it. #wuedt6020
@Mgray0012 Wow that is really cool! I would love to use that in my classroom. I am not going to lie I do not know a lot about gamification so I would love to learn more about it! Please keep me posted. Engaging the kids in learning works best when having fun! #wuedt6020
@Hannah08CH@RoeEDT@CKnightWilmU Wow, I have an Alexa and would love to add her to my classroom. I think there would be a few things I would need to workout to really engage all students, excited to learn! #wuedt6020
#Emergingtrends infographic! #DigitalCitizenship can teach us all valuable lessons on appropriately utilizing the internet within our classrooms. https://t.co/1aGWvgn8ql
The three professionals I am following for my class include @KyleneBeers@RWTnow and @DaringEnglish for the teaching resources they share as well as their daily inspiration for being a better teacher. #wuedt6020
