Gonna need the crowd to be massive today for any chance of a win, with a full side we would but this is an uphill battle - our available attackers have 27 games x 2 goal contribution this season, Gakpo and Isak had 13 x 11. Probably need Szobo to be a hero again. Up the reds
Some middle manager at Man City had to tell their IT team to custom-build a server that stopped the Premier League copy/pasting any text from the documents they handed over.
"Yeah, we're innocent, but can you just make life as hard as possible for the people investigating us?"

UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter
They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information
The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain

The funniest thing about the empty threats from Etihad is they tell the story of precisely what the issue is. They aren't named in the report. They could just cut ties. Instead they choose to put themselves front and centre. This is not normal sponsor behaviour.
Thus we return to this (authentic and never disputed) email from senior City advisor and senior UAE advisor Simon Pearce to Peter Baumgartner, CEO of Etihad Airways at the time. 2/n
The PL can then say they’ve handed out historic punishments the size of which we’ve never seen before but at the same time protects City and their players by causing a year or two of inconvenience only and leaving them with the bulk of their trophies
My City punishment prediction is a 9 figure fine, 30-50 point deduction, voided league titles for the investigated years and a 3 year transfer ban with at least one suspended subject to behaviour
Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
This is absolutely my bottom line feeling on the City debacle. Whatever plays out, Klopp and LFC are in every meaningful sense the British team of the last decade and in the discussion for the greatest in the history of the domestic game. Not been measurable (yet) in quantum of trophies, but it’s surely now beyond reasonable moral dispute.
Klopp’s Liverpool are arguably English football’s greatest ever side. If measured out in points totals, definitely. The 2019 team has the greatest *real* points total in history, and added a CL the same season. Then there’s the 2022 team that without City’s fraud has the second highest points total, and a domestic treble.
Football, in sanctioning city, can try to reflect all of this or not, but the ultimate truth is more evident now than ever.
