As a former @USMC who had this discussion with the female Marine, I would like to express the gratitude for the enlightenment she provided me.

Yes, women should register for the draft. We need them in our military. In 95% of roles they are equal to or better than men.

In combat, NO. She surprised me and she was absolutely CORRECT. A team is only as strong as its weakest link 🔗.

The female is not the weakest link. It is the Alpha male who will protect the female at any cost FIRST and then the rest of his team. Without the female the Alpha male will protect everyone equally and make sacrifices for the good of the team.

This is the @USMC mission first and the same genetics that makes it possible for him to protect so many can be undone to protect 1 Female

If they are lucky AND their parents care enough AND have the money, only then can these children get the rapid education they deserve.

🚨 Let's explain this $22 BILLION thing simply:

During COVID, California borrowed a ton of money from the federal Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund to pay out benefits.

A lot of states did this when the economy shut down and claims exploded (plus there was massive fraud).
Most states have since paid it back.

California?
It still owes about $22 billion, and it's the only state that hasn't repaid its federal loan.

Here's why it matters to regular folks:
Because California hasn't paid the loan back on time, federal law automatically makes California businesses pay higher federal unemployment taxes every year to cover it.

Employers there have already been hit with billions extra in taxes.

That money comes out of their pockets, which means higher costs, potential layoffs, or businesses struggling or leaving the state.

The federal UI Trust Fund is backed by American workers' taxes from all across the country.

So in a real sense, yes, California under Gavin Newsom is in debt to the American people.

Newsom's administration had big federal COVID relief money and even budget surpluses at times.

They chose to spend it on other things instead of clearing this debt.

Now the interest keeps growing, and California small businesses & workers are stuck "holding the bag."

The Trump Labor Department is calling it out: That bill has to be paid.

Accountability is finally being demanded.

This isn't abstract "politics."

It's real money taken from job creators in one state because politicians there kicked the can down the road for years.

Other states handled their business and paid up.
Why should California get a permanent pass?
