I've created a quick form to gather email addresses to gauge interest in a Nashville, TN based #Ruby User Group. I'm also looking for places to meet. @rails discussions too.

This was a great episode @BrodieOnLinux! I've messed around with @GraphiteEditor a few times this year.
Most of my art needs are related to game dev so raster, drawing tablet, pixel art. It would be cool to have one app for both vector and raster art.
Like you, excited for the desktop app and stable document file type.
Today we have the @GraphiteEditor devs on the show to talk about this amazing project, I think this image if it keeps progressing has the potential to be thought of like OBS and Blender. #Linux#OpenSource

@strzibnyj Any good Ruby/Rails recommendations?
I have the pickaxe book and several others that I need to work through.
I think I have one about Kamal that's on my list to go through....
@woochaq@adrienpoly Yeah, now I'm all set! I just had to wait for the full 8.1 release!
I'm still early in the Rails journey so haven't used a ton of gems.
@iamdothash@Affinity Yeah, as mentioned, no Linux version. I'm also a bit concerned with a SaaS company being in charge. I use Canva for some stuff, I've just seen way too many companies go crazy.
@igor_alexandrov That's like someone was saying to build with a faster language than Ruby because Rails can have scaling issues....
I just like that there's no thought as to what the product even is.
@AmandaBPerino@rails Discovered Ruby last year and now trying out Rails for some web projects.
Rails has gotten me interested in trying to actually build those web projects.
@bryon so to be sure, you're using Claude code?
I've only used browser based chat agents so far.
One other thing I'd add, is there are Rails guides that you can download as an epub that may be solid material as well for your AI DHH to reference.
@BrodieOnLinux With your recent mention of Graphite, you may also want to check out @PixiEditor
It's got vector editing, digital painting and pixel art. Plus node graphs.
