Des dizaines de milliers de personnes ont participé dimanche à l’Israel Day Parade sur la Cinquième Avenue, dans ce que les organisateurs présentent comme la plus grande marche de solidarité avec Israël de l’histoire de la ville.

Juifs new-yorkais, amis d’Israël, élus américains et responsables israéliens ont défilé ensemble au cœur de Manhattan pour célébrer le sionisme, l’État d’Israël et les liens historiques entre les deux communautés.

▪️ Pour la première fois depuis plus de 60 ans, le maire de New York a boycotté l’événement.
▪️ Son absence intervient alors que les actes antisémites explosent dans la ville.
▪️ La décision de Zohran Mamdani a contribué à mobiliser une importante délégation israélienne.

Pour la première fois, la délégation était conduite par le président de la Knesset, Amir Ohana, accompagné de treize députés issus aussi bien de la coalition que de l’opposition.
L’ancien maire Eric Adams était également présent.

📌 Alors que certains tentent de faire du sionisme une injure et d’isoler Israël sur la scène internationale, New York a offert une démonstration inverse : une marée humaine de plus de 100 000 personnes venue affirmer son soutien à l’État juif.

Une image qui risque de contrarier ceux qui annoncent depuis des années l’effondrement du soutien populaire à Israël.
