@OnlineHyde SFoG is totally empty everyday outside of Fright Fest since 2020. It’s sad/unsustainable. Lack of investment, poor ops, and safety issues tarnished its rep with locals which has overshadowed food/park infrastructure upgrades they’ve done. Rebrand & marketing/PR campaign needed.
@ReverendWarnock This is ineffective, dishonest messaging. I’d suggest actually understanding and offering a solution to lower the out of control, insane property taxes or we will lose badly in Georgia in November.
@ThreadATL Only $91,000 is an abomination for this parcel - what a scam when primary residence homeowners at a home 1/100th of the value are paying $20K a year. It should be $500,000, and then the blight tax multiplies it from there.
@KelseaBondATL@infoinvt Outside of a small but loud/vocal group, people who actually live on the Beltline DO NOT want rail to ruin our beautiful green space that IS accessible to all, despite this fake news. Endless construction, billions wasted, fences, would ruin the gem of our city - No!
@conorsen ATL Dem here on a Delta flight in First right now. The question is - will Democratic messaging/positions realign to the actual base of the party (i.e. $100K college grad), or will the base return to Rs post-Trump? #LeaveDeltaAlone@ChrisMurphyCT
@OnlineHyde They need to throw out the name “Six Flags Over Georgia” and rebrand & rename the park with a large “new ownership/new experience” PR push and marketing campaign. The name is too tarnished at this point among those in the broader metro ATL for attendance to turn back around.
@IamKingWilliams ATL already voted for this NINE YEARS AGO and nothing has happened!! It’s called More MARTA. Check it out, since we’ve been paying the tax for nearly a decade with NO progress and let’s all hold our leaders accountable.
@cbenderatl @MatthewKleiner@AtlBizChron@MARTAservice@MidtownATL Disagree. Other cities have small parks like this- NY. Having a block of green space there will add to quality of life. Not every block needs to be a high rise. There is no shortage of apartment supply flooding the market and lowering rents (good!!) for the time being.
@GabrielSterling@BrendanKeefe Gabe, Georgia is NOT a low tax state. Over 5% income tax when some neighbors are at 0%, high sales tax, and high property taxes. I know some of this is city of Atlanta’s fault but we are NOT a low tax state by any means. Bring back SALT!!!!🧂
@HowEPhil@AtlantaBeltline@ajc Seriously, who cares? Imagine what the timeline would be if the city was leading these projects. I say less complaining and more enjoyment of the amazing, unique gem of the Beltline that we are fortunate to have here in ATL.
@conorsen ATL voters wont forget how she seemingly disappeared her last year in office when crime went through the roof and the city was couldn’t deliver basic services. She didn’t run again because she would have lost. This isn’t a smart move.
