‼️‼️RESCUE IN CRISIS‼️‼️

Hi members, this is a post we have been trying to avoid but sadly the situation isn’t getting any better for us and we are struggling!

We have done all we can this year to reduce dog numbers overseas, get sponsors for our long timer dogs, travel and find homes for as many as possible, and catch up on some of our debts.

The reality is we cannot keep up, we are constantly appealing for help but support has dropped off with the cost of living crisis we are facing.

We have successfully managed to reduce our dog numbers overseas particularly in the countries we are sadly having to pull away from but the reality is it’s not happening quickly enough and we just cannot keep up with the bills.

I’m really not sure how long we can continue like this for and I know we are not the only rescue in this position.

We do not want to have to close our doors completely to helping new dogs but this is likely to become reality.

The team are fighting daily to find homes for dogs, raising funds with fundraising and generating support for our dogs but in order to be able to continue we really do need everyone’s help.

We are not fighting and begging to save one dog now; we are fighting to keep Second Chance going 💔

Every rescuer is chasing for bills to be paid, we have pension and vet bills stacking up as well. That’s without our UK bills 😔

The pressure is huge and the team are really feeling the strain💔

If everyone sent £1 today it will clear us of outstanding bills.

Please retweet, facebook have banned the sales of pets on their platform 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Please report anyone selling pets on Facebook to facebook and to their local council if you can. If someone offers to bring a puppy or kitten to a car park or your home they are breaking the law. Please report them to their local council's licensing department. If you would like to adopt, please email your local registered charities or check out their websites.
Never buy a pet from social media platforms or a pet selling sites. Quality breeders do not sell puppies or kittens like this‼️‼️‼️
If you adopt a dog, you will make space for a dog in a council pound that is at risk of euthanasia. Puppies are not always shown on the charity websites just email them and ask to go on a waiting list. You shouldn't have too long as so many dogs, even pregnant dogs are being dumped everyday in the UK.

Alfie has been with the kennels for years now and he never gets a look in,
Is it because he’s blind or his size or what
The only reason for no children is due to his size but also when kids run fast or make loud noises he struggles to see

Winston is a 2 year old male Mini Daschund. He is available and looking for a new home.
Winston isn‘t keen on other dogs, he would be best as the only pet.
He would be okay with older children who are use to dogs.
Winston loves food and will snatch a treat, so you do need to be mindful of your fingers.
He is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.
Winston would be best with someone who is around all of the time.
He eats dry food and travels well in the car, although he can become unsettled to begin with.
Winston is registered with the vets.
He loves to meet new people and loves cuddles but will take himself away when he’s had enough.
He doesn’t have any experience with cats.
