After what was long and difficult journey (but the right one for me) I can now say that I have completed my QTS and will stay at the brilliant and very supportive school I trained at @ChallneyBoys I am now officially a History teacher 😊😊😊

We have put together a compilation of six reads for adults and children that define the ‘Windrush’ experience.

Check out the thread to find out more about the books📚
This week at @ChallneyBoys, we have been commemorating the vital contributions and stories of the pioneering Windrush generation, introducing students to the inspiring story of Sam King MBE whose resilience is an example of many from the Windrush generation #WindrushDay2021
@ChallneyBoys@YouCanDoRubiks been watching a few of the boys do this, the speed that they do it is amazing, very jealous, have never been able to do it!
This looks ideal for Y7s and will compliment our unit on medieval monarchy. Power and the People crew in Y10 might like to watch due to the Magna Carta links @WestKirbyGS
@MrsBallAP have to say this has always been one of my favourite set of books and my (now grown up) children loved the BBC series and still rate it above the newer films.
We can't wait for @Thehistorybits to present her @historic_all#history lecture! From the great heiresses to religious anchorites, Sharon will speak of how women of all classes and vocations influenced European history. Join via https://t.co/ArfftfOEY2 #historyteacher Open to ALL
@DavidDidau@EnserMark As a someone who received abuse, I can see others being guilted into this. Those that escape abuse do not do so without feeling guilty. Also the abusers very rarely admit they are in the wrong and may use this as a way of getting back in contact with the abused.
@PHS_Deputy @ChilternLT@PutteridgeHSch Lovely to see their faces, it seems like a lifetime since I was there. Will have to come and see the new building and the staff soon. Good luck in the new build 😊
This beaut will be 29 on Saturday, where has the time gone? The youngest of my three children, Rosie lives the furthest away so lockdown has been hard but we will be visiting this weekend to celebrate🎂
@thefrozensea Absolutely agree, was able during uni to have a placement at the Northampton library in their local history department. It was amazing the amount of different documents and items they had...it was a joy to be able to access them.
