The @ChildrensComm is right - the SEND system isn't working for children as it should. But radical reform isn't the answer. The law on support for children w/ SEND couldn't be clearer, but it isn't being followed. The system needs to be made to work, not reformed all over again.

One of our children recently utilised their Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) to attend their driving theory test.

This is something of a first for us at Wetherby, and will pave the way for other children in custody.

There needs to be a national system of identification and support for children with a parent in prison.

@Lads_Like_Us Needed this. Working with children who experience trauma is a blessing & a curse sometimes 😪 Everyone who knows me knows I love my job &feel very privileged &honoured when children feel comfortable to share their stories with me. It's very hard when every door keeps closing 😭
