If a surgeon showed up to your child’s procedure with a chainsaw, you would grab the kid and run out the door. But this week Elon Musk went to conservative conference, waving a chainsaw for America’s government. And many alleged patriots cheered.

I did not.

Like all Constitutional democracies, America’s government is delicate and precious. It is an imperfect union that generations of patriots and activists have labored hard to build, maintain and improve. As I have shown repeatedly, I will work with ANYONE to fix it. But I will work against anyone who wants to highjack our government and rip apart its vital functions, with zero oversight or accountability.

That’s not patriotic. That’s anti-American. And everyone who loves America’s system of government should say so.
