@The_Landlord Yes, in future credit files of tenants will be in far worse shape as landlords are forced to use a full blown s8 with long term consequences.
I think MPs are aware of this and the many other obvious economic pitfalls of the RRA but choose to sell the benefits for votes.
@Teddyftbl@Sam_Dumitriu It’s going through peer review process and will hopefully be published, I will share a link when complete. My study was in the North East which has higher delinquency rates that other parts of the country so it could be that landlords here are already more risk averse.
@mr_james_c I think they understand the economics just fine. It’s the voters who need to understand to be able to question flawed policies and see through their lies.
@LondonMoneyFS Not London, but an apartment I have in Newcastle, cost £185k in 2003. On market now and I can’t get £180k for it. I think the issue is the service charges now are a larger % of peoples income than in 2003. Management co’s have killed capital growth with increases above inflation
@carl_lewis_91 Im a Georgie mate and it happens to me all the time despite me having arguments with it and setting English as the only language. Time to change AIs I think.
@BillAckman@realDonaldTrump@SecScottBessent@pulte This is how it works in the UK. Lots of people focussing on the penalty but surely banks would offer an upside of lower rates in exchange for what is basically a guarantee on earnings. Mortgages can also be portable here meaning homeowners can move home and use existing finance.
@levelsio It’s producing work for me and repeating back the instructions I gave it. Asked for it in a word document and got a message in the doc saying “article omitted for brevity”. Hopeless this version.
@CraigHope_DM They should have waited at least until January. If the title race was tight, maybe a squad has an injury someone would pay £150m. And we keep our credibility. We’ve been bullied. We’ve lost and abhorrent behaviour has been rewarded.
