If you are wondering why people are furious, the answer is not complicated.

They were never consulted. They were never asked. And now they are living with the consequences of a policy nobody voted for

Every MP who backed this. Every judge who signed the bail form. Every “NGO” who shouted down those who opposed They all own this.

The common sense solution: detain on arrival, process offshore, deport anyone with no legal right to be here, and never grant bail to foreign nationals accused of violent offences

The only people who call that extreme are the ones who created the disaster and will never admit they were wrong because their egos is all they care about
