The Assassination Trials is my new project exposing how years of extreme rhetoric from the Left created the conditions for the three assassination attempts against Donald Trump.

Year after year, the Left has carefully assembled a permission structure in which politicians, pundits, and cultural figures have portrayed Trump as a fascist, a contemporary Hitler, an existential threat to American democracy, and a dictator.

Over time, these inflammatory characterizations hardened into consensus on the Left. That consensus created a permission structure that weaponized troubled and mentally unstable individuals to carry out assassination attempts against Trump.

This series names the most influential politicians, commentators, and cultural figures who built this environment, quotes their words directly, and sources every claim.

Each post focuses on a single figure. I document their rhetoric and comments chronologically with verifiable sources, mark the timeline against the three assassination attempts, and rank them on a 25-point scale across five axes:
- Reach (institutional and cultural weight)
- Severity (how dehumanizing the rhetoric is)
- Repetition (how often it was deployed)
- Post-Attempt Conduct (whether they dialed back or escalated after each attempt)
- Hoax Amplification (how many distinct debunked narratives they personally pushed).

Each person then gets a composite score. At the end of the series, we'll provide the official rankings.
