@coopuk If recycling programs switched to gasification instead of incineration it could be a more efficient process of using plastic as energy. But stated by European Union’s adoption 2015 of circular economy goals; is to have all packaging recyclable, reusable or biodegradable by 2030🌍

@coopuk Sorry, I did not see this comment! At least it can be put into the recycling. The incineration process is definitely argued for & against depending on it's practice.. but overall it consumes more energy than recycling does, so recyclable packaging is always the best go to!

@coopuk Thank you for getting back to me🙂 Unfortunately to say though, this does mean the window isn't recyclable! As flexible PP plastics arnt currently accepted through curbside recycling scheme's 😕
Maybe the packing manufacturer could consider a biodegradable option for example 🌍💚

@sainsburys After lockdown eased, I ventured back into your stores. Prior to, I remember hearing about fruit & veg being supplied without single use plastic packaging. To my surprise I find your stores still filled with plastic. Isn't this an urgency that needs to be addressed?🤔
