@EddieComeaux Yeah, I agree. If campuses are going to fund SRO's they should be well qualified. Rather than bring fear to students they should make students feel safe. I think investing in more advisors would be beneficial instead of more officers #racialjustice
@brenda_barrales @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#Ucr150 Yeah I agree! Studnet athletes should be supported in whatever major they choose. Even if they choose a difficult major, their athletic department should aid them in graduating on time
@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar #Ucr150 The description used by college football athletes to describe their programs instrest is “a system”. Indicating the goal of the ath. prog. ain’t the athlete’s educ but their eligibility for the sport and games

Yo, Im so glad to hear SA’s will get some sort of payment for their likeness. I wonder what this means for the future value of an athletic scholarship?
@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar #Ucr150 Often times the NCAA leads students athletes to believe that they will be guaranteed a great higher education but due to their regulations many SA’s focus their time to their sport instead of education
@rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#Ucr150 The verdict on Livers v. NCAA has not been reached. But I agree with Livers that student athletes should revive similar treatment to work study for their participation in athletics.
@btoledo50@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely#Ucr150 I agree! Its important to be able to make the best choices for ones future. Making it more difficult to pursue whats best for a student shouldn't be the status quo.
#Ucr150@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar The NCAA really makes it difficult for SA's to transfer between Higher Ed Institutions. NCAA argues that the one yr residency req is so SA's will get used to their new environment even tho there has been no empirical research that supports that
@khuer002@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar #ucr150@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar Totally agree! Not only should collegiate coaches be instructed on proper concussion education but High school coaches too! Changing the attitude of reporting from the beginning of an Athletes career is important.
#Ucr150 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely The NCAA placed responsibility of providing a safe environment for SA's on the Universities in order to avoid liabilities, however;50% of responding schools do not require concussed athletes to see a physician,NCAA really aint doin much for SA
@ucrgiuliana @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely Yeah, I agree with you. Female sports arent being treated as equal to mens. I also like your image. Its very illustrative of the use of media to promote games.
#Ucr150@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar College athletic departments blame title IX when men's sports are cut. Using title IX as a tool to put the blame on while investing more in other department areas.
